IGNORED, LONG WAIT AND POOR SERVICE. WILL NOT RETURN AND URGE OTHERS TO BUY BOTTLE AT HELPFUL, ATTENTIVE EES AT THE TASTING ROOM SEATTLE AND DRINK IT SOMEWHERE NICE... We two clean, neat and pleasant women were ignored for full 2 minutes although standing at the middle of the bar. A couple was at the bar to our left, already enjoying a flight when we arrived, and we saw a thin woman server. This (hurried? harried? new?) employee stood at the cash register end of the bar then stepped back to entrance of the ee area to look at her receipts, ignoring us and not meeting our eyes, without even a welcoming smile. Clearly she saw us arrive. A woman customer rushed up to her then, interrupting our attempt to request her attention, exclaiming about a party arriving but tables were not set up. Another opportunity to at least greet us and say she would be right back arrived as she rounded the bar and rushed past us... but, again, nothing. No eye contact. However, she DID stop to ask customers at bar if they were okay. Then she rushed by without a word to us. After that calamity ended and she was returning to the bar, I stepped her way and asked for menus. She then indicated she didnt realize we wanted that. (Uhmm, why ELSE would we have remained standing there for minutes?) Trying to understand the neglectful treatment, I smiled and said, "Are you the only one working?" She replied NO! Yet no other server came out to assist with the growing number customers who arrived AFTER US although I saw her speak with someone in the employee area. (Someone came out later.) We obtained menus, and agreed with her to sit outside. And waited. And waited some more. We were about to leave when she arrived. The wine flights were OK. And WE asked for crackers to accompany the flight; they were not mentioned previously. Only when she brought the check was she reasonably polite. By then I was thoroughly disgusted, although remained polite. Dont know if other servers were/are as neglectful, but this one poorly represented a place that is supposed to be stellar. It wasnt for us.

I attended an environmental networking event at the tasting room recently. Only around 20 minutes into the event they conveniently ran out of the inexpensive wine option. The next one was twice as much, which would be worth it if it was good, but when I tried to ask about the flavor profile I got a curt and unhelpful response. When I inquired after an appetizer, the woman at the bar snapped, "Its way too busy for that one! Get something else." Again, the other appetizers were twice the price. I had another stop planned that evening so I wasnt looking to drop my entire going-out budget on overpriced cheese. I left feeling shaken down as part of a captive audience and not treated with respect.

If youre looking for a place to go alone and have a feeling of camaraderie, come in and sit at the bar and dont be shy. Excellent wine (this place was recommended by a French friend visiting from Seattle who praised the quality and price - there is absolutely NO NEED to spend $50 on a bottle of wine, here...). I felt like I was somewhere in Europe, once inside, and the recommendations from the Bartender were spot on. I also found the cheese great. This place is a great place to make your "local".

Youll find this lovely place tucked in one of the alleys in front of Pike Market. The Tasting Room focuses on Washington State wines and has a fantastic vibe: very quaint and cozy. They have a great selection and offer several tasting options on their menu, as well as full glass pours and bottles. On top of all this, The Tasting Room has a very helpful and knowledgeable staff. If youre into wines, this is definitely a place to check out when youre at the Pike Market.

Small, intimate, knowledgeable are some of the words that describe this wonderful, gem of a place. The staff is friendly and welcoming and truly know every bottle in the place not to mention the history of the region it comes from. The only downside to my visit was the owner or co-owner or manager who showed up near closing. He was loud, I think drunk and brought the mood down in the room. I like the place enough to go back but, I will make sure it before closing.

The server added gratuity automatically and didnt mention it. Slightly disappointing, as we would have probably tipped better. Then I discovered they charged my credit card, and additional random amount, as well as charging the five other girls I was with that amount. Manager was indifferent and told me to email him. Many other options while in Washington.

This place is awesome. Sarah runs it and she is very cool. Good vibe, good wines, the prices are incredibly reasonable. They have a wide selection from 5 or 6 wineries. Really interesting choices. Its casual, so a good place to check out for a date, drink after work, if you are a tourist, or if you like to taste unique wines. Highly recommended!

Cozy little joint to grab a glass of Washington wine or taste a flight. The wine they offer is all on pressurized Argon so the wine thats opened doesnt get too oxygenated. Therefore every glass starts off like it was from a just opened bottle and you get to experience it, similar to if you opened a bottle at home, cheers!

Wine was wonderful and our main female server was great. Had a male server come up and apparently made the decision for us that we would not be ordering any more wine by taking out wine list away from us. Loved the location however will not return it due to how rudely we were treated on Jan 23.

On a summer evening, The Tasting Room is a perfect spot for a date. Decent wine selection with lots of options by the glass. They occasionally have live music as well, which really adds to the ambiance. Friendly and knowledgeable staff.

Attentive and knowledgeable friendly staff. Great selection of wines with something for everybody. Quite easy to pass hours here. In addition to wine they have small plates and a selection of local beers and dry soda.

Helpful people, great service. I came here for a Wine 101 class, very helpful to understand the basics of wine, and what you can find in Washington, and the wine growing regions.

What a cool find. The wine is good, glasses and flights alike. The pizza was amazing, the sliders were decent - didnt really enjoy the shrimp slider, a little overcooked.

Local wineries, I think 5-6 wineries total, and 100s of wines. Cool selection of flights. Very affordable. Friendly staff. It might get busy during live music days.
