Recently, I came from Spokane to Seattle to be a guest at the film series created by and for young people, including my fifteen year old grandson. It was a lovely theater and I have enjoyed reading about Langston Hughes since being in the theater named after him. They have an open mic, Freshest Roots, first Friday of every month. I love it! The event is family-friendly, and is very supportive of young artists. Its also very diverse. The emcees are engaging and entertaining. For those interested in performing at or attending open mics, I highly recommend!

their summer program excelled last year. this year i must say that their summer program fell. they are very disorginized,rude and dont let the kids out on time. i am very sad to say. this program should do better
