My kids and I were very disappointed with the new playground, built at great expense (5.5 million dollar!). Its of interest only to children under the age of 3 or 4, even 5 year old kids will be unimpressed by the anemic equipment - no swings higher than 4 ft, nothing that could conceivably give kids even the hint of a thrill or a tiny bit of speed on a swing. I dont know how much of this is because of our litigious society, or because its meant to "universally accessible". I can understand making a part of a playground handicapped accessible. But really - does the whole entire thing needs to be completely handicapped accessible? What means is in practical terms is that theres no drop of more than a few inches, and that the swings - sad and short though they are - all have seatbelts. And instead of a merry go round where kids work together to spin it, theres a "tilt table". Where you tilt. A few inches. And it take a few seconds to tilt those few inches. Yep, real fun. This playground is marketed as "for all ages and abilities". Nothing could be further from the truth. Its 100% only for kids under the age of 3 or 4, or for kids that are in a wheelchair. The old playground at this location was nothing amazing, but there were a few pieces of equipment that kids actually lined up 8 deep for at the July 4th festivities. They tore those pieces of equipment down, and believe me, nobody will be lining up for any of the equipment at this playground. Wake up, parents. Kids that are older than 4 need playgrounds too, they need places to go where theyll be challenged and can perhaps get a little thrill on a swing. Otherwise theyre get even more sedentary than they already are, pursuing the pleasures of video games, instead of getting some fresh air and exercise outside. Your kids may be interested for a little bit because its so huge, and right now because its new theres big crowds and its fun to look at people. But overall, its a sad waste of money, and a pathetic excuse for a playground.

Beautifully newly constructed(2017) downtown park with water play area. Park has collection of play structures to suit all ages, with plenty of slides (straight and twirly), a 2x2 teeter Totter, a tandem swing and a toddler swing (full back seat with locking over shoulder brace bar), there are two platform type swing (the disc shape ones), a rubber jumping/trampoline for smaller kids, a rocking ship, a spin ring. The water area is really nice in summer with notably a waterfall. There are limited seating for parents, though the seating is covered and the porch swing bench type. It should be noted in the morning to early afternoon this park has a lot of sun exposure in summer and has very little cover in the main play structures area (the water play area gets heavy traffic during this time), in the late afternoon it gets cooler. Note the play structures sit adjacent the large open grass area with water feature that has lots of tree cover area the perimeter. Parking is competitive, note there is another bigger parking lot on the north west. The park is very popular and always crowded but doesnt feel over crowded.

A really beautiful park, though a good quarter of it is currently under construction. its fun to go and people watch, especially now with all the Pokemon Go players frequenting it. Lots of benches and little trails off the main path to explore. sculptures a plenty. Ive noticed on the weekends people will come throw baseballs or even play volleyball. its very close to the mall so easy to stop for a coffee across the street and come walk around. **WARNING** Parking can be a hassle as the main parking lot is a bit small and the street parking is along the backside where they are doing construction so youd have to walk the perimeter to enter.

I work right outside the park, and its been my place for hanging out and enjoying the calm and beauty of the trees, the grass, the city reflected in the waterfall and the friendly ducks who follow me around - the construction thats ripped up half the park lately has put quite a dent in that, but its for the greater good of a more fully developed park, I suppose. The illustration of the completed park makes me eager to see the finished product, but until then Ill put up with the hideous construction moonscape theyve created in the West half of the park as a necessary evil.

Its a great place except for the Mormon scam. Mormonism is quite the scam in my book due to the faulty perception that it gives off with no proof. To many Mormons keep going in the park and advertising this scam. Also the Mormon beliefs offend me. They are anti-gay and that isnt fair to anyone especially with all the media attention that they get to broadcast that message. I strongly believe that the parks association needs to prevent Mormons/any religion that discriminates in any way, shape or form from advertising in this park as it is government and public property.

This park is amazing!!! There are three small areas for kids to play, one of them being designed for littles, one for getting varying degrees of wet, and one for bigger kids. Benches are located on the outskirts (close) and some are covered and some are bench swings! A bathroom is close by ad well as the parking lot. With a partial fence and being set away from the main road, this park is a safe place to play. Beyond the playground, the park extends a lot further with plenty of grass areas, a water feature, and sidewalks.

Big park in the middle of the city. Wide spacious tree lined walking paths with benches that surround the open grassy amphitheater area. The BEST modern adaptive playground Ive seen filled with children and their families & friends etc. Easily over 200 kids all running playing jumping crawling climbing exploring parallel play and interactively enjoying the playground. Plenty of variety in structures for a range of ages and abilities. Take your kids there !!!

Previously a fairly medium sized greenspace with a wide open interior, some art installations, and a circular waterway. Now still a fairly medium sized greenspace with a wide open interior, some art installations, and a circular waterway but also popular hunting grounds for (sometimes up to hundreds of) pokemon trainers. The density of stops and proximity to downtown Bellevue make this area prime for wild pokemon spotting.

Nice place between Bellevue Square (shopping) and Old Bellevue (restaurants, bars). We had family visiting from Silicone Valley. They were envious of such pleasant downtown park. We brought our kids here to the playground when they were little. Now the new playground is huge. Because of its size, some parents had to go into the playground to watch their kids, and thus making it a rather busy place.

Beautiful park, I loved everything about this place. Awesome playground with a lot of space, very modern, swings, slides, musical area and there is even a splash area for the kids with a small water fall, great for the summer. Parking can be hard because this is a very visited park but you can park inside the mall parking bulding and in some part of the streets near the park.

Awesome place to be with friends family or alone.. you can walk play sit and watch peacefully. It has a huge play area for kids with more then 20 activities and all are pretty safe and good (still dont leave your kids alone, they can fall down as some of them are somewhat high) must visit place and if you have kids you will end up coming here more often :)
