2 weeks ago, I heard about the club and wanted to check it out since I havent been out to clubs in the hampton roads area in about 15 years. I chose Upscale because of word of mouth regarding it being a over 30 great club to go to. I went on a Saturday night because I cant make it during the week. Thusdays is their ladies night there and I am told it is a great place to be on those nights. I show up, there is plenty of parking, which was well lit with no suspect people hanging around. It felt safe which is something you look for when you are heading to a club for the first time as a female. The gentleman at the door checking IDs was friendly but professional. Once through the first door, there was a $10 dollar entry fee (cash only, unfortunately, they didnt take credit cards at the door), I paid to a nice older lady. Oh and it didnt involve a hand stamp that is a regular thing down at the beach. I got inside and it was a really roomy club. I headed directly for the bar I first saw, then turned around and saw there was another one on the other side of the club. The bartenders and waitresses were great, very friendly (just a note: if you start a tab with one bartender, you have to go back to the same one, even if there is a line (that kinda sucked,but the line did move pretty fast). The dance floor was really big so there wasnt alot of elbows poking other people on the floor. There was plenty of standing room around the club and the seating was quite extensive so you have a place to rest your weary feet in case you were dancing your butt off in those heels. The music was a great mix of old school and new school r&b and a little bit of reggae. The DJ was actually quite good and I was really impressed. There were alot of men dressed in zuit suits, suits and their wives looked just as good. Now, there were people looking casual too not just suits. Thank god there is a dress code and there wasnt any people running around in baggy pants or hoochie outfits. I really loved the classiness about the club. Diversity-wise, no matter what you may have heard, there was a good mix so I felt comfortable. The only bad thing was that at around 1 am I went to the ladies room, there wasnt any toilet paper left. Not cool. Everyone knows that from 1-closing, everyone is getting to their limits or are getting ready to head home and need to relieve themselves. I would like to recommend an employee just stop in and drop off a couple extra rolls. Your regular customers would greatly appreciate it. Over all I want to let the owners know that the club was great and I would definitely recommend it to anyone is looking for a grown up type of club. Oh and this past weekend, I took my friends, who came to visit and they had a blast and want to come back again and we will. AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!

It was good until the bartender " Nakkita" or whatever her name is.. She had a straight attitude with my sister then had the audacity to threaten somebody with security when it was the server who messed up?! To Nakkita: YOU need to check yourself especially when you ARE the bartender only, and there to please the CUSTOMER #1. Remember you are at work #2 Watch your mouth or expect issues all the way around the board. If I wasnt a business owner nor with my mother and sister for Happy Hour after WORK!!; things wouldnt have went as smooth as it did, and as a Independent Women, dont get it twisted. PLEASE. Do Not. Be mindful of your manners and words, youre at work sweetie. Keep it that way. Sooo remember: "Treat others how you would want to be treated". Especially when family is in involved, knowing 9/10 you would feel the same/ maybe more. Since it being our first time ever walking into Upscales and seeing mostly people Over 40

This is my first time at Upscales. After paying my $10 fee at the door, I walked to the bar and ordered a double Absolute vodak with orange juice, which was $20! I then went to sit at one of the many available booths and sipped my watered down drink and enjoyed the 90s music until the dj started playing hip-hop that you hear on the radio all the time. Mind you, Ive been sitting here for 30mins with an empty glass expecting one of the waitresses that walked by, to ask if I needed anything. Ive read in other reviews that they ignore women and that is true. Why do you have wait staff if they arent waiting on the customers? Right now the dj is playing Commas by Future smh. I did not come here to listen to this type of music. I would not recommend this place all.

Great place to dance with seasoned men. However, I ordered the BMW seafood platter and it was absolutely DISGUSTING!!! The fish was over fried, the crab cake was smooshy and flavorless, the smash potatoes were instant, the crab legs tasted old and the butter had a jelly consistency and tasted like oil. Even the WATER WAS NASTY!!...To make matters worse you had to hunt down the waitresses because they only cater to the male customers. Please do better. Thanks.

Make sure you bring your wallet the drinks are costly not worth the price the dj sucks I come tho this club once a year and they still playing the same songs I heard last year you hear the same songs every hour the only good thing about this club they have mature women thats it even though no other club is like it in the area its not worth the money keep your 20 they ask for after 10 better off going to a bar or go to Hampton they have one better than this

Worst service ever! No one came to our table to take our order, we had to get up to go and place it ourselves as well as get our own drinks. While watching other tables being serviced. We asked a waitress for water and never got it. When I asked to speak with a manager, I watched the waiter go and tell the management and no one ever bothered to come and acknowledge our issues. So we left, never will go back again.

Went to a birthday party here, they gave a decent amount of food and refilled the containers to make sure that it didnt run low. The waitresses were attentive and accessible. They cater to a mature crowd, the DJ plays 90s & early 2000s music, the dance floor stays full and theres no drama or ruckus. If you like to go out and dance by yourself, with your man or with your girls this is a nice spot.

First time at Upscale traveling from out of town and I must admit it was a wonderful experience! The setting as very comfortable and the band was off the chain! Friendly waitresses. The crowd was great! Love the fact that there is no cover charge until 10p which means the more settle crowd can enjoy the early time! I will be coming back this way!

The crowd was definitely Mature! The food, atmosphere, music, and people were GREAT! The cocktails were extremely OVER PRICED AND AWFUL! THE BAR TENDERS SHOULD FOCUS MORE ON EVERYONE WAITING PATIENTLY TO BE SERVED AND NOT JUST THE MEN GAWKING. I would go back
