Normally i enjoy it here amd i still love this place, however today... i was off work today so i thought i wud spend this hot day at the pool. Looked at the hours on google amd it said compared to the weekend that tuesdays are rather dead... but today apparently it was camp day meaning that all throughout the day at different hours the ymca camps and stuff were bringing in troops of obnoxious, manner lacking kids that would jump over ur head to jump in the pool as they did to me several times, and all but sit on top of you in the pool even after u tell them to back up some. I think when camps decide to do this, maybe they should close the pool to the public that day and post something online about it as well... it was rather hard to enjoy myself today. It still helped beat the heat today tho, and the overcast help cool things down a bit as well. Now yea today was not the best day there for me but i still enjoy goin to the pool and i reccomend it to others.

We go here every year. Not expensive, not crowded, and clean (for the most part). The rest rooms are pretty unkept so we tell the kids to go before we go. Other than that bring some pest repellant as the shaded areas are full of mosquitos. The kids section is great with the giant bucket. Even my older kids like getting dunked. They also love the slides, both the small one for the smaller kids and the large one for the teenagers. The lifeguards appear to be attentive. I have not seen them texting or talking on the phone while on duty so that is a plus. They also have a first-aid station which came in handy when my little on cut her foot on the bottom of the pool (dont know how but kids get hurt no matter where you take them). So far this is the best and most fun pool area in our area so definitely would recommend.

The thing to keep in mind with this place is that most the employees there are volunteers. This means that the safety and Equipment are all up to date but some of the other services like the cleaning in the changing room / bathroom area needs Improvement. They also do not let outside food and drinks in other than water bottles and the food that they have in their little restaurant is a bit of a rip off. The Arizona teas that you can buy it the 7-Eleven up the road for $0.99 are $2.75 in the Cafe. So either pack your lunch and leave it in a cooler out in your car or bite the bullet and expect a very marked up price for simple canned sodas, burgers and fries. Be sure to keep your receipt safe and dry this is what lets you re-enter the park if you have to go out for some reason.

Took my kids here on a Monday morning just as they opened, and we had the park almost to ourselves for two hours. There were activities and equipment for both my 8 and 4 year old. The jungle gym with the giant bucket is amazing. There were slides of different sizes in different depths for different swimming abilities. The spray pad is unusual and very fun for all ages. The young staff was friendly and attentive to thier work. Of all the NVRPA parks weve been to, we like this one best. The only downer was the snack bar, serving the usual variety of soggy fries, corn dogs and heat-lamp hamburgers. Next time well pack a lunch and eat it outside in the parking lot!

Admittedly, this was my first time visiting a waterpark aside from those attached to big places like Hersheys Park or Kings Dominion. Nevertheless, this place was just what I needed. You get what you pay for and more. My son really enjoyed himself. The lifeguards are plentiful and were attentive, and the outside area was pretty much clean. The only thing I would change is (1) one or two more canopies to put chairs under (2) public restrooms need to be monitored and cleaned more religiously because it was definitely lacking. Outside of that - I had a great time and would definitely go back.

it is a very fun place and i like how there are two separate pools one for the smaller kids and one for every one else the food is pricey but its good to have it there also it is right next to the river and it has a lot of picnic places. One of the flaws is that the pools are not to clean one time that I was there with my family we found a booger in my cousins hair and we had to get it out with our fingers cuz what else would we use? And the showers arent clean but other than cleanliness its a great water park that some times gets crowded but its a great park and i recommend it.

Even though the park looks amazing, the system they have for the rides is a waist of time. You can only play one ride at a time with the watch that they provide. And guess how many minutes you have to wait.....hours. So it took us to play 3 rides from arriving at 9am till 4pm. And the finally was when the rain arrived the system closed down. Once we were leaving the area, our slippers got stolen. So watch out! There are better places for me to waist my time and money than here.

Volcano Island is a great outdoor water park inside Algonkian Regional Park. There is a kids area with a dump bucket and small slides, a splash pad for smaller children, large swimming pool with medium size slides and plenty of seating. There is also mini-golf available for an additional fee and locker rooms for washing and changing. A small concessions area is available as well and plenty of parking.

This waterpark was great! My whole family had a blast. Their different pools and activities were great for all ages. The lifeguards seemed very well trained and attentive to their work. The food was good as long as it came fresh. We ordered some food at different times and it varied. The staff seemed a little lazy about cleaning and helping. The management was very friendly and knowledgeable.

This place is just ok. The water park in Reston is much nicer! Its about $2. more but well worth it! The big pool was closed last week and they forgot to mention that when we were taking our entire summer camp there (30 kids)! The place is not that clean so bring flip flops to walk in the showers with. Its ok for the really little kids but I would go to Reston

I was here around 3 years ago and I realize I thought this waterpark was gonna be really big but it was way 2 small Need to be a lot more water slides and its not big enough to make it worth of 45 minute drive if they could make it bigger like the Volcano bay orlando then it Would-be a lot better And there wasnt even a lot of theming anyway

So much fun! If you plan on coming throughout the summer, I definitely recommend the annual pass. You will end up saving a ton of money. My 3 year old has a blast here every time we come. Very rarely are there lines or anything. And so many families and kids, its a really nice atmosphere.
