I have owned a Woodstone timeshare for over 10 years. We purchased the week between Christmas and New Years as we knew that the kids would be out of school for that week. I dont have anything negative about the place as it is a relaxing place to get away during Christmas. I really cannot comment on the restaurants as we have a 2BR unit with a full kitchen and always cook our own meals. It is not that far from Harrisonburg and lots of restaurants if you dont like the ones there. Although we are owners, we are offer the sales pitch every year. I guess this is a matter of taste. I have received the free breakfast or lunch along with a $100 VISA card each year for many years now. I will keep doing this as long as they want to offer that amount of money just to listen to their pitch. The bottom line with these timeshares is that they have virtually zero resale value and they make sense only if your family will actually use it for several years. It is fairly simple to shoot holes in any argument that these things are a good investment. Once you do that, a simple statement that you are not interested in buying will cut the presentation short.

DONT GO!!! :((((((this was the absolute worst little getaway EVER! all kidding aside, we hated it. all four of us. my husband and i have two small children, 1 and 3 and even they were unable to find any enjoyment. everything that they offer there was literally closed!!! it was insane?!?!?!?!? pony ride, go karts, arcades, stores and the service there was like talking to a wall. all people workling there were rude, and had no social skill and totally unhelpful. over all i would never reccomend and the other thing was is that they have the mafia there trying to sell you a time share the whole time! ughhhhhhb every restaurant sucked and was wayyyyyy over priced. everything was way over priced in general. EVERYONE THAT WAS INVOLVED WITH OUR GETAWAY WAS TOTALLY MISLEADING TOO! they told us that it was an hour and a half drive which turned in to a three hr ride.... the service people tell you of things to do on this not so resort and didnt tell us one key thing which was that everything was no open! it was in the dang middle of stinkin nowwhere for sure!

Be skeptical of 5 star reviews of this place. I suspect they are paid reviews. Ive not met one person who "raved" about this place like these so-called 5 star reviews have done. Im not sure how this is considered a resort. Its in the middle of no where and offers nothing that you cant find around town normally. The living quarters were bland, and activites were an additional full price expense. Nothing was gratis or discounted. So why bother going? The real answer is they are trying to pressure you into buying a timeshare on the spot. They were very misleading and rude to me and my girlfriend. When I said i didnt want to buy a timeshare they abruptly said "This conversation is over." and basically stomped away. Didnt say thank you for listening, or considering it. It was awful. Horrible vibe.

Born and raised in Virginia and never heard of Massanutten. I filled out an entry form at Pizza Hut for a complimentary vacation. I didnt think I was going to get a phone call and surprisingly I did! They offered me two complimentary vacations, one being 3 days and 2 nights to Massanutten, a $125 visa gift card and $50 back to Pizza Hut! Well my family and I just got back and we fell in love with the resort. Its beautiful, relaxing and so much to do. My kids fell in love with the waterpark! We will definately be returning customers it was definately worth it even though you do have to take a tour but so what they compensate you for your time Ill tell you that!

Silverstone is not the best Ive stayed while vacationing here. Dead cockroach and debris in hallway as we entered bldg. Once entering our unit, the carpet was stained and what I call filthy. The shower door in bathroom does not shut so must turn shower head to the wall so water wont go outside of shower door and wet the floor; ice maker in freezer does not work. I bring my own cleaning items along with Lysol and Febreeze. Always been great rooms until now. Never understood why they put couples on first level and noisy family with kids over our heads. Paper thin floors is not worth the money no matter how large or small the cost is/was.

Course was alright. Awesome views. Greens were in rough shape but understandable because they probably had snow covering them a week before I stayed on the resort. The only thing that bothered me is the fact that I got an activity card for 99$ and then was priced for 20$ for a cart fee however the website said 16$. Also the man at the resort said it was 10$ per person for a cart... went to the pro shop they said 20$ per person. Instantly got a refund for the card because it wasnt worth it. They said "unlimited golf for 100$!!". They dont coordinate between the resort and golf course. Get your stuff together.

We love Massanutten. We are owners for 17 years. We come every year and at various times of the year. Fall is our favorite as we love the fall colors and the golf. We have stayed at Woodstone but our favorite was Summit at the top of mountain. We now own at Regal Vistas. We do the sales pitch every year and take the activity card since we like to golf and do various activities around the resort. You do need a car to get around. Harrisonburg is a short drive for more restaurants than the resort offers.

I came here in 06/2011 and loved it. I came to the east coast for a family vacation and Ive lived and never been out of Hawaii till I was 19. So this was my first trip to the states. I loved the kitchen the facilities the quite and private atmosphere. Except that the walls are a little thin so we could hear almost everything. We had a place right next to the golf course so it was beautiful!!!!

I stayed last weekend and enjoyed myself so much that I purchased a time share. I dont presume that any place is perfect, but the spa was as close to perfect as I could get. Reflexology and foot massage practically changed my life. Cant wait for the skiing this winter.

Bugs in the room.... High pressure sales for a low value unit.... cleaning staff stole my phone from room. Treated me different after I decided not to purchase initially. Beautiful location, but they need to figure out how to run a resort.

Very well maintained course. Its par 65 so most are par 3 but some elevation changes make it interesting. We have some beginner golfers in our group so we chose this over the mountain course. They enjoyed golf.

Great course, especially for beginners. Nice and open. Rented clubs since I couldnt travel with a set and they provided great, almost brand-new clubs. Very impressed with that. All around a good day golfing.

Everything was wonderful. ..Check in was a breeze Area is beautiful..One thing I would say they should include some activities for free for owners, like myself..
