Good design. The course is extremely well maintained. Yardage markers everywhere. Fair to good drainage. On the other hand excellent watering. Even on the hottest, driest days of the year, the fairways are GREEN! Bunkers and water make control and accuracy a must. Each hole offers a different challenge. Yardages vary greatly. Par 5s offer good risk and reward options. When the wind is blowing, this course becomes extremely difficult due to its open layout. The tee boxes offer long yardages, championship tees are elevated from the rest of the tee boxes. Greens are large, but make sense and they utilize most areas of the green. Pro shop is aesthetically pleasing. Staff is curtious and polite. This course is consistently booked up. Practice area is a one of a kind in western new york. It offers a driving range out to 350 yards. Three tee boxes to practice ball control on approach/par-threes with a huge manicured green to use. It has several green side sand bunkers around this green. The green has 5 different pin placements offering distances between 60 to 120 yards. Food at the turn / 19th hole leaves something to be desired, basically a shed sponsored by Buffalo Sports Garden. It closes earily (6pm) and they shut off the grill before then. It is staffed by teenie-boppers or an old hagg who are at times to busy on their cell-phones to take orders. Greens fees start at $40.00 on weekdays and go as high as $65.00 on weekends/holidays. Would give 5 stars if value was better (35.00 to $45.00) and the snack shop at the turn had more to offer. Overall a course people gotta check out.

Very bad experience at Harvest Hill Golf Course today Sunday 8/23/2015. I would like to point out that I was very disappointed in the fact that there was no mention of green aeration prior to having paid the full amount for greens fee. I understand that this is a very necessary process for the health of the course, but I feel it is the duty of those in charge to give the patron the choice of how he or she chooses to spend their money. I feel as though I did not receive what I thought I was paying for. In retrospect I should have walked off the course after the first hole, which was when I found out the greens were less than ideal. I completed my round, and then proceeded to politely ask for a manager regarding my experience, and his response was abruptly that the greens were aerated a few weeks ago. Other than that the course was fantastic, but it is this type of customer service, or lack there of, and the notion, or need to make money at whatever means necessary that will have me looking for greener pastures.

Played here on August 30. Major upgrades to this facility going on that when finished this will result in Harvest being the very best daily fee facility in WNY. Brand new clubhouse is open, as is the bar and restaurant. Added amenities include a fire pit with adirondack chairs around it. Much construction still going on, as well landscaping and such. Looks like this will be an unbelievable facility! The course itself was always a fantastic design and well maintained. Now they have allowed the heather to grow in which has made this a true test of golf. Played off the black tees and at 7,050 yards it is quite a track! The greens just need to be upgraded to improve turf density (aggressive aeration needs to happen). The par threes have incredible number of ball marks. And for the idiots who are complaining "too expensive"....are you kidding???? GET A JOB!!!

Well designed and maintained course which lives up to the claim of the best greens in Buffalo. It is an enjoyable play for beginners and is challenging enough for seasoned golfers. There are enough hazards to keep it interesting, but not so many that duffers get intimidated. Decent restaurant. Fair prices on greens fees. Havent been through the pro shop. Dont bring your own beer unless you can find a way to get it into the coolers on the carts without being seen. They are pretty strict with the NYSLA rules. As its owned by a personal injury attorney, thats not surprising. Will play here again.

My favorite course in WNY. First time I played there was 2011 and it was 5 stars then. Now all the added amenities make it the best public course I have ever played at. Coolers on the cart are very convenient. The play is challenging, but the course yardage book (3$) is extremely helpful and makes the course easier to navigate especially if you dont play there often. Course is in pristine condition all the time. Warming up is easy, they have a large grass range and a large putting green right by the first tee. My only complaint is it isnt closer to my house.

Every time I call and try to book a early tee time they tell me nothing is available, even though the website has early times listed. They only tell you that the tee times they have available are when the rates are high. Too expensive for a public course. Also, and buddy and I went to the driving range to hit golf balls and when we drove to the range it was mats only. They do not inform if the grass range is close or if they aerate. As a paying customer you find out yourself after you pay.

Quick trip to the driving range. Good range, good prices. Course looks really nice, and they have a lot of amenities available to members. Looks like a lot of opportunity for lessons, practice, etc.

Had lunch with my son. Restaurant was clean, staff was friendly & lunch came out fast. You get a lot of food for the price. Even if you dont golf you should go to eat. Beautiful setting.

They need to cut grass, rough is almost impossible to get out of, especially the fringes around the greens, n stop watering so much, too soft n mud balls, fairways should b firm n fast

I agree with Sam. I was in the same boat and they were not aerated a few weeks ago. I played there last Sunday as well and they were not. Otherwise i would have played somewhere else.

This golf course is still maturing but dont take that as a slight agains this course. It is manicured and catered for good golf. I would golf here again.

The course is phenomenal and very challenging, but its a shame that arrogance and a false sense of wealth have replaced common sense and common decency.

Dont understand the tee time issue mentioned. I use the website, book on line and have had 100% success. Nice layout for all skill levels.
