Recently reopened, but reopened too early in my opinion. Majority of course is very poorly maintained. Most bunkers are literally unplayable and have weeds/grass growing up through the sand. Greens are in very bad shape with patches of crab grass throughout. Areas around greens appear to have been untouched for over a week. Obvious hazards have no such markings (no stakes, no painted lines). Go back to where you originally hit from I guess? To be fair, tee boxes and fairways were in good shape, with the exception of excessive mower clippings in fairways. At the prices theyre charging Id be shocked if the course stays open.

May have been good before, but course is in TERRIBLE condition along with attitudes of select staff. This summer we golfed at all the high-end courses in DC metro so we drove 1.5 hours to Cannon Ridge with high hopes and anticipation, but were TREMENDOUSLY DISAPPOINTED. Their fairways had overgrown WEEDS, large areas of dirt, rampant crabgrass, badly maintained teeboxes, POORLY kept sand bunkers and greens in complete disrepair. This facility lacked golf playability, enjoyment but most of all professionalism; it DOES NOT BELONG in the same echelon of courses as Raspberry Falls, Bull Run, or Old Hickory!

What a treat is was to play Cannon Ridge. Challenging for sure,, but so nice to hit off such great tee boxes, fairways and greens.. Cant wait to go back. For just re-opening its in fabulous shape.. They are getting the bunkers in shape slowly but surely but over-all fun times today !

We had our sons wedding rehearsal dinner at Cannon Ridge and everything was absolutely perfect! Natalie did an outstanding job making our event a huge success and the bar tenders were awesome as well. I highly recommend this great banquet room for any event.

Just reopened...really impressed by staff..greens and fairways still maintained well..sand bunkers were a work in progress and for not being opened back up very long...overall one of mine and my dads best golf outings in a while..thanks Cannon Ridge..

Very boring course. Small greens, some fairways are way too tight. Youll forget everything about this course, but the price before you leave the parking lot. They had a shot at a Homer, but took a called third strike

Nice layout. Fairways and greens in good shape. Some service issues. No water on back nine, no score cards on carts. Practice green needs attention. Worth the money though.

Fairways and rough in great shape, greens are a bit rough and tend to be putting more on compact sand than grass. But its august in Virginia so what do you expect.

Well maintained and challenging course. Fairly well equipped pro shop and reasonably priced snack bar. Range balls are free if you are playing.
