I absolutely LOVE this place! Whether youre in more of a mellow evening mood, or simply looking for one of THE BEST slices in VT, Outback is a sure bet. After our third consecutive day of skiing, my friend and I decided to skip on Pickle Barrel and enjoy some acoustic live music with our pizza and obligatory VT-local brews. We sat at the bar and were taken care of (very well, mind you) by Kate. She was awesome and friendly, making time to strike up plenty of conversation with us in between taking orders and helping in the kitchen. We ended up splitting a large for $20, and chose two different specialty toppings: Popeyes Pie (spinach, mushrooms, bacon, onions, mozz, and garlic pepper oil), and the Botccha Galoo (sausage, peppers, mozz, cheddar, asiago, oregano). Both halves were generously topped, and a sprinkling of additional cheese on top of everything helped keep the toppings at bay while we were eating. Despite our hunger, we left with about four slices left over - these pizzas are definitely generous! Along with the music that night, atmosphere is very laid back. Theres classic and high-top seating, but there are plenty of nooks and crannies to explore here, ranging from a billards area, a single table with a life-sized Jenga board, some video games and more. Lights hanging from the ceiling give a festive feel to the place, without being overly bright or loud. My favorite feature, however, is the belt conveyer that whisks clean pint glasses outside of the actual building for an ice-cold, natural chill! Dont ski Killington (or Okemo...they have a location there too) without paying visit to Outback Pizza!

Came here in off season after the legendary Spartan Race. I spent over 10 hours on a brutal obstacle course race and was starving for any type of food. Pizza sounded AWESOME!! I was happy that they were open late (like 10pm when we got there). HOWEVER, waited 30 mins before I finally had to hunt down a waitress. waited a total of 90 minutes to finally my hear the managers apologies that we still hadnt received our food (1 pizza and 1 appetizer), waited 110 minutes for food to arrive. The manager said it is hard to find good help and that he is training a new staff in the offseason and that his stove is too small. We got the typical "we will take the pizza off your charge" but still ended up paying $20 for appetizer and sodas. I am not an advocate of dining and dashing but if it had taken them more than 10 mins to give me my check I would have left there without another thought. We also had friends there that had terrible service at the bar too. The food is not good enough to put up with that terrible customer service.

Usually great ! Once in a while the pizza is over done - ( during extremely busy times assume you might get the one pizza that got away from them ). Atmosphere is great ..can be loud , nothing too crazy though .. have been coming for years , a must each time we are @ Killington . Have watched the evolution through the years and they continue to make improvements - attempting to accommodate all ages . Kids thru adults will enjoy . Music usually very good . Gets packed and can be quite a wait at times but they usually try their best to flip tables in a timely manner . Most of the time its because diners linger over their beverages and listen to music as their kids play games or dance around . Many more seats have been added , trying to keep up with demand .... overall very good ! On a side note ...be open to try the food other than pizza as well....surprisingly good , very good !

Horrible experience! Stay away especially if you have kids with you. Party of 6 adults and 4 kids came in at 6pm, ordered light appetizers and pizzas. Pizza arrived 1 hour and 45 minutes (!!!) later after multiple inquiries and escalations. Seems that the business model is to have you wait as long as possible so that you consume as much alcohol as possible. Neat, but not a great deal for us. Pizza was mediocre; nothing to write home about. Manager (and owners wife) gave us a $10 discount at the end and some ice cream for kids. Why oh why didnt they just tell us to go down the street when they knew that the bottleneck at the pizza oven and total anarchy with the kitchen and wait staff were going to make this a nightmare. Its just not worth it, really, unless youre there for free popcorn that they throw at you to make your hunger pangs go away!

So the place itself is great especially after a hard ski day, the food its pretty good, the pizza is great, firewood cooked. Its cozy and nice. The biggest down is that the kitchen is very unsanitary, or at least who ever makes the pizza. They are not hiding so you can see how its made, but you better dont look if you get grossed when the person who stretching the dough is touching his pants(down there...Im sorry), then texting something on his phone, then puts the toppings on the pizza without washing his hand or wears any gloves. I mean I know you cant really wears gloves when you work with such hot oven, but really...there is some basic sanitary rules... I tried to look at the positive side, because I was starving... but ... really if you are not such sensitive to those stuff , the place its good.

Terrible service. The waitress could not split the check. I sat there and had to split a check for 10 people by hand. I have been a waitress, it is not difficult to split checks on a POS system.. which she did have. You dont hand an enormous check to your guests and say figure it out by hand call me when youre done. Oh and the best part is there was barely anyone else in the restaurant, no wonder no cars were parked out front.

They were having a fundraiser the night we went so it was very crowded. The chairs are very uncomfortable because they make you sit at bar tops. We had a party of six and they sat us pretty quickly. The drinks came out quickly but the pizza took at least 45 min. We were told the large would only feed two to three. The large pizza would feed 4 to 5 in my opinion. The pizza was good but not good enough to wait 45 min.

I would love to give this place a better review. But I noticed the same things that a bunch of the other reviews brought up. My food came up quickly, but somebody near me had a simple order take 40+ minutes. The service was friendly, the pizza was legitimately very good, but the entire experience was ruined by the fact that the restaurant is poorly managed in general.

Pizza is AWESOME!. Service is mediocre at best. We had to wait an hour for pizza. Were told we cant order food at the bar and when ordering beer and asked what their selection was we were told to go look at the menu. Plenty of better places in the area with staff that is actually helpfull.
