The worst experience of my life! I came in with a camera and they said I coupdnt use it.. understandable. I put it away and continued through the exhibit and was told a second time that I could not use the camera I told them that I was already told. As I was walking through a third person came up to me and said I was standing too close to the paintings with a pen...I dont see how that is possible since all the paintings are teathered off. I came as a student from UVU to do a school report. I felt like a freaking target for these people. I wasnt doing anything that nobody else was doing. I came here to enjoy some art but every turn I took there was a problem with what I was doing weather it was how I was standing in one spot or looking at a painting. They ruined my entire experience and I will NEVER go to that museum again. Id rather go all the way down town and pay 20 to get in.

Get a life, Candy. Sounds like you have never been to one of the more prestigious art museums. Some of those ropes are only a couple of feet from the paintings, which have NEVER been out of their original location. It would only take a misstep or someone bumping you to jam that pen into the painting. Or you could be one of those people who deliberately damage paintings. Try going to see the Mona Lisa or Piata, surrounded by barriers after a hammer-wielding nut had it. The paintings were exceptionally accessible compared to other notable European art museums.

Check all the doors before leaving. Some are locked, others are not. Staff was well versed in dinosaur knowledge. Temperature was ideal. Free is great. Convenient parking. Now for the art: the art was thought provoking, though soul-chilling in some instances. They wont let you stay after hours though. I think this is due to the paintings coming alive after dark. Or the staff might just need to study. Probably paintings are alive. Very Good overall experience. Full disclose. I stepped over the line. Im sorry. Please forgive me.

The Museum of Art is located in an easily accessible location and whenever I have been there the exhibits have been impressive. The current exhibit, Sacred Gifts,is amazing! It took years to make the arrangements, transport, and coordinate showing this collection of beautiful paintings of Christs life. This is truly a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to see these pieces of artwork in one place. You are asked to make online reservations in advance, but there is no charge to enjoy this beautiful, spiritually uplifting exhibit.

I have both worked here as a security guard and visited as a frequent patron. There are some gems here, and the staff does an excellent job at keeping the museum high quality. The stories behind the artwork here are incredible. It is easy to spend a lot of time here exploring. The exhibits are diverse and interesting. The MOA holds a First Friday activity and other family activities that keep it interesting for all ages. Great place.

I hear the cafe is super good. Ill give an update when I eat there. The rest of the museum is pretty cool, at least when the exhibits are. From 2015–2017 or so theres a super cool spectrum of rainbow colored threads in the main atrium area. Sometimes there are events with free dessert. Be warned you wont be able to walk around a lot if youre wearing a backpack—youll have to put it in storage first.

While a little heavy handed with religious art and permanent exhibits, the BYU MOA features a fairly diverse set of artistic styles. Ive seen everything from origami, movie costumes, and rainbow strings, to centuries old paintings on loan from a Cathedral in Germany. In this way, the museum tends to get lucky and have truly amazing art on rotation almost anytime of the year.

Cant beat free. I love the art pieces and they have had great exhibitions of art on several occasions that Ill never be able to see again. Also its very clean which is of course a plus. The hours can be a bit funky. Additionally, I wish they made it easier to see the hours cause they have them on the left side of the glass doors but not on the right.

The Museum of Art has been a staple for high quality art from around the world for over a decade. From exhibits featuring the Etruscans, The Imperial Tombs of China, the religious works of Christ from cathedrals and palaces in Europe and more, there is always something beautiful to see and experience at the MOA. Plus they have a great café.

The BYU Museum of Art is one of the largest and best-attended University Museums in the Mountain West. There are 18,000 objects in the collection- and they house world-class exhibitions. Admission is FREE. In addition to galleries, the MOA has a Cafe and a gift shop. There are always fun and well-attended events. 10/10 would recommend!

Well designed and easy to access the art. It has art that is highly regarded by the art community and is well attended. I come from Los Angeles and was quite surprised by the beauty of the building, art and atmosphere. Very Nice. I probably wont make it here again, it is a long way from where I live but well worth the time to visit.

I have seen many exhibits here from when I was in elementary school all the way to now. They are always trying to get rare exhibits. They also have other simple exhibits too. Even though exhibits are free, the tickets may be limited to help control how many are in the exhibit at once.

This was such a wonderful experience. The art here is beautiful and diverse. I thought I wouldnt have liked it but I enjoyed it very much. Thank you BYU for keeping this professional and beautiful. I learned a lot about the history of the people here.

This is a high quality are museum that is as great or better than anything else in the state. Its a museum that they Provo and Utah should be proud of. If youre LDS youre recognized many of the works of art in Church magazines.

Wonderful Museum, they often have at least a few different displays at any given point in time, and will often rotate their gallery between different collections. Classy clean friendly quality. Has a cute day Cafe upstairs.

For the size that it is, the MoA brings in some top name, top quality art. They think a lot about their audience, so the focus is on religious art, but there are always high quality exhibits of all kinds.

First time being to an art museum. I loved all the paintings, and the information they gave on them and the painters. The rainbow string art was AMAZING. It was definitely a neat experience.

I have attended a couple of special exhibits here and all have been entertaining and well laid out. They are never skimpy, but are very thorough. There is plenty to see and take it.
