This is the closest youll get to Austin in Waco, but the best part is -- its not Austin. A very chill bar; patrons and bartenders alike are easygoing and just out to enjoy their time. Fabulous music, with bands and regular DJs throughout the week. Can be a little bit quiet before 11pm, but it really picks up on the weekends, especially when a band is in from Austin, or when a local DJ is playing. Truelove is also probably one of the safest bars for women, in addition to being one of the most diverse bars in Waco. From music-hungry graduate students to tattooed locals, from journalists and lawyers to Papa John delivery drivers, from middle-aged rockers to sorority girls, you can meet them all on a Monday night for karaoke or a Thursday evening for Trivia, or for a live band on the weekend. Truelove also hosts killer parties around the holidays, and has great drink specials, such as $2.50 mystery beers every night, a variety of tasty $3.00 shots, inexpensive well cocktails, and a fabulous selection of craft beers. There is also an outdoor patio the owner has been working on where patrons can sit in the evenings on wooden benches and at metal tables to smoke, drink, and laugh when the weather is nice. Go to Truelove. Youre missing out on the chillest bar in Waco if you dont.

this is a great locally owned bar where you can go for a nice night with friends. My favorite part is the back room which is much quieter and away from the hustle and bustle. If you are looking for a bar to dance at, this is not for you. But if you are just looking to have a good time with your friends you have to check it out. Great signature cocktails and the bartenders are always very friendly and accommodating. If you are looking for more of a crowd, go on karaoke night or Thursday night for the college crowd.

This is my favorite bar in town, and Ive been to all of them. Super awesome staff who are great at what they do. LGBTQ friendly, woman friendly, man friendly, liberal friendly, conservative friendly, whatever friendly. The regulars and staff try to maintain an atmosphere where everyone is accepted. There are three cardinal rules: respect the staff, respect the other patrons and respect the bands. Follow those and you are in for a great time.

I had three beers and one shot. I apologize for my speech impediments coming out after I begin drinking. Apparently that means Ive had way too much to drink, and I cannot be served anymore. While I appreciate your respect for TABC laws, perhaps your servers could learn a thing or two about people. I will never give my money or time to this business again. If I could give negative or zero stars I would.

Cool owner, good bartenders, eclectic music, TVs for sports, excellent craft brew selection along with the old standbys. Liqour too! Pool tables, foosball, pinball, karaoke, live music and DJs. Even an open air pato or back for you smokers. Our favorite pub nite, happy hour hangout on Friday nights. Stop by...give em a try!

Refreshing experiences if you are tired of the usual frat boy/cow-poke crowds. Loving, open minded, shameless people,with cool bands, dollar beer wednesdays, and a huge selection of craft brews, and about a dozen on tap! Pool, foosball, patio, tattooed chicks and a snack machine complete with cigarettes.
