The golf setup is fun and enjoyable for beginners and experienced golfers alike. However, on this particular Saturday we didnt have a great experience until we got to our bay... We planned for a 11am-ish visit to the Houston North location. Its been over a year since I last visited the Katy location and knew it could be busy - no big deal, we could have a few cocktails and food while we waited for a bay. When we walked in, we went straight to the check in line (surprisingly the line was short). The concierge welcomed us and asked if we had our Top Golf card. I told him I had one but it wasnt with me (remember I havent been in over a year) so I asked him if he needed my cell phone or DL# to look me up. Come to find out I had to get in the line to get a new card (for $1) and come back to the check in line. Ok, did that and went to the bar/dining area. After we got our waters we waited 20+ min for our waitress to come back; the poor girl was waiting on the entire dining area, no joke. So we went to the bar and got immediate service. About the time our drinks came out we were paged for our bay. We settled the tab with the bartender and reported back to check in. The lady told us we were lucky we got there when we did, she was about to give up our spot. Really?? Note to self, camp out at check in so you dont lose your reservation. So were told our bay number and motioned to where its at. We show up and someone is there, who immediately lets us know thats his bay...after about 10 min of waiting for the staff to come up with another bay for one of us, a manager lets us know weve got one just a few bays down, and comps us 1hr free :) That was a great gesture and we enjoyed our time after that, but all the prior stuff only warrants 3 stars...well see how it goes next time.

Had lunch today and lets just say it left us wanting. We arrived at about 11;45 and we were the only customers in the bar / grill area. We were cordially greeted by one of four people who appeared to be working that area. We were seated and placed our drink orders. After a few minutes our drinks arrived and we were handed menus. About ten minutes later I approached the bar and requested from another young man that someone would please take our order. He followed me to the table and took our order. At this time another patron arrived and was greeted as we were , seated and apparently drink order taken . Approximately fifteen minutes later she was served , we were not. Approximately ten minutes later the other patron settled her bill and left, we were just being served. Upon presentation it was noted that both orders were incorrect. Subsitutions had been made, food was terribly undercooked . Food runner said she would get the waiter. A minute or so later I realized we had no eating utensils. Waiter never came. A few minutes later the waiter passed by and I asked him to step over to the table , I didnt feel it necessary to go public with my comments at this point. Seemingly disappointed that I had interupted his conversation with another gentleman behind the bar he came out to our table and addressed us. After listening to my comments he asked if I wanted to speak to the mgr and turned to point over his shoulder. no explanation just do you want to speak to my mgr. The mgr was very cordial and apologetic obviously not his first experience in this situation. He offered to make ammends and we accepted. Sould have gone to Lubys I guess

Wont be going back. First kudos to Dennis and Robert however. Great customer service on their part. Now as to why. First time to visit a Top Golf, several friends had visited the Katy location and loved it. I had been given a top golf coupon from one of them for my birthday. My sister and niece were visiting from out of state and I thought it would be a fun outing for them. When the girl helping us set up the game was told we wanted to use the credit amount (from the coupon), she said OK, and proceeded to charge the full amount to my credit card anyway. We asked to have this adjusted, two people later, we were informed that they would have to fill out paperwork and send it to the corporate office. We would receive the credit back in three days. At this point, we decided that we would just leave and requested a full refund. Two weeks later, I am still waiting for it to post. I have made four phone calls (getting different stories/responses) and still have not gotten this resolved. After finally talking with a manager, she assures me that the refund will be coming in the next couple of days. Apparently, they were behind in processing the refunds. So this makes me wonder how many they are having to do and what the initial have to send to "corporate" line was all about. Also, as a CHL holder and veteran, I will not support businesses that post the 30.06 and 30.07 signs.

So naturally, going to TopGolf on a Saturday evening means a crowd, noise and then some. Its to be expected and I have no qualms with this. However, on entering the building, we found the air inside was mildly above warm, "argh" - but anyway after about 10mins, we acclimatized with drinks - no problem - then got our text to proceed to the golfing area; we walked out expecting to bask in the glory of the powerful A/Cs we experienced at the Katy branch; turns out, it was out of order, but they had these powerful fans behind us which made the girls hair fly into their eyes (and food) and blew things out of chairs and splattered the food (terrible food btw) everywhere. We made the best of it though for an hour, and with sweaty clothes legged it home to take a shower before heading out to the bars. My verdict is this; they took a good experience and added some serious humidity and killed it for us. Its Houston; Houston is humid, its not nice; next time just put a sign up, but knowing you wont do so, next time, Ill call ahead. The end.

The TopGolf experience is fun because of the unique experience of the multi-tier interactive driving range that offers a variety of games, BUT, this location in Spring has HORRIBLE service! We sat at 3 different locations at the bar and received ZERO service. When we got to our bay we had to ask two different ppl for service, both of which said they werent our servers. When I got my bucket of beer, an ice refill was never offered even after all the ice melted in the 90+degree weather. I had to get the Ice from another server. Never brought utensils or napkins with our food, and no pen to sign the tab when we closed out. We went back to the bar after our golfing was up, and had to literally stop a bartender that wouldve walked by us like they had for the prior ten minutes. The bar was not even half occupied. If you want the TopGolf experience, I recommend making the drive to another location other than the Spring location.
