I havent been there for a baseball game but recently attended the Beyonce-JayZ concert and was very disappointed at the lack of organization at the entrance to the show. We were told the artists would begin performing at 9pm, we arrived at the venue at 8pm to find huge crowds of people waiting to get in at ALL of the open entrances. There were no organized lines, no one telling anyone what was going on or where to go. We stood outside after sending someone in our party to go check the other entrances and were squashed between people from all directions with barely any movement towards the entrance for 15 minutes at a time. When we finally arrived at the entrance, someone quickly took a peek inside our purses, sent us on, then we had to line up again to have our tickets checked. There was poor signage directing us where to go for our seats, the ushers told us to go one way and when we got there we were to told to go back to where we came from. We wound up missing the first 30 minutes of the show we paid $250/ticket for. It took us 90 MINUTES to get in to the venue! That seems to me to be too long. Our seats, low in the arena, were still quite far away from the stage, the artists still appeared to be a speck in the distance and we watched the screens the entire time. I would have gotten the same effect had I paid 1/3 of what I did and sat up higher. I dont understand why the field space wasnt utilized for seating/stage. IF I ever go to a concert there I will be sure to arrive much earlier, but there is a good chance I wont ever go there again. BTW the show was good, just the venue is getting the 1 star.

I did enjoy the game and had a good time with my family, even though I had one of the worst experiences as a breastfeeding mother. I went to the Mommys Room to breastfeed my 4 month old. It was more like a sauna than a nursing room. Other moms and I were sweating and our poor babies had sweat soaked hair by the time they were finished eating. Since this was no longer a comfortable option, I used the restroom the next time. I was harassed 4 separate times by employees. One employee asked if I was ok and I told her I was breastfeeding. Then a guy yelled that I needed to hurry up cause he needed to clean. I told him I was breastfeeding as well. Then the lady yelled at me again and told me I needed to go to the Mommys Room. I explained from my stall that it was too hot for me and baby. I then noticed the male employee sweeping the stall next to me and then the female employee walked up to my stall and looked through the crack at me. I yelled at her to stop looking at me. She continued to stare at me so I hit the door to try and get her to stop creeping at me. I finally gave up and came out. The female continued to try and talk to me, but I was so mad I just washed my hands and left. So when Minute Maid Park braggs about how supportive they are about breastfeeding mothers, I hope moms read this. I was very disappointed.

Ive been to at least one Astros game every year for the past 25 years, but I probably wont come this year because Ive finally had enough of how this park is managed. The food is ridonkulously overpriced. They are entirely too proud of their hopefully-edible substances. The hotdogs are mushy, the buns will either be stale or soggy. The Aramark employees are reliably indifferent. The water fountains taste like the park has installed backwards-facing used water filters. There is a not-so-subtle note of ravioli in the water that even beginner palates will detect. And no, its not cold. I wish they were embarrassed that Wal-Mart has better water fountains. Why have ticket prices climbed so much since the park opened? The Terrace Deck was $12 the first year. If they kept pace with inflation, theyd be $16. They are now between $25 and $52. And finally, it is HOT in the seats. The air conditioning is not powerful enough to cool the peasants, which was not a problem the Astrodome had. If Minute Maids roof was open, it would still be hot but there would at least be a chance of a merciful breeze. This stadium is the worst of both worlds: indoor baseball in Texas without air conditioning. Go Stros!

I took a tour there. First of all theres a train that moves when the astros score a home run. There jumbo trom is really jumbo. The grass is beutiful. They told us that beyonce sung on the grass and got it messy and had to pay a couple 1,000 dollars. No one is allowed to step on the grass. We went in the press box with a microphone that makes anouncments during games. The reason they have shades covering it is that no birds crash into it. They also have a machine that keeps track of how many home runs the astros did. There suites you can be in while you watch the game. There is a beer machine in the suites so you can get beer while you watch the game. If you take the tour you never know if a player will be there. The seats are these green chairs with a comfy thing on it to keep your butt cozy and warm. Discovery green is next to it with amazing sculptures. You can hang there after the game. They have icee stands and and other kids of stands. You can eat during the game. We learned how to make a baseball and a baseball bat. It takes a week to make a baseball and 2 years to make a baseball bat. On mothers day they play with pink bats. Best field ever.

This is one of the most unique stadiums in the Major League. As being one of the few stadiums with a retractable roof, its always perfect weather for Astro fans in Houston. Another unique feature includes a small incline in center field known as Tals Hill, for former team president Tal Smith. This element taken from Crosley Field and other historic ballparks and the flagpole in play, an element taken from Yankee Stadium before its remodeling in the mid-70s and Tiger Stadium. Fans who witness an Astro Homerun are treated to a Steam Locomotive pulling, none other than, a cart of MinuteMaid oranges. The park has also featured some of the best foods in the Majors with a delicious "Southside Market" BBQ Baked Potatoe and one of the largest hot dogs Ive ever seen. If you have kids, be sure to visit the Kids Zone on the 1st base side of the stadium where they can "steal a base" and interact with other fun baseball themed activities. As with most newer baseball parks, most all seats are great for catching the game. I would recommend against the far outfield upper deck seats, as the A/C cannot quite keep up with this area during the warmer months.

I cannot believe the insult and outrage we just experienced at Minute Maid Park! It is the only day of the week that my girlfriend and I have off together and we received tickets to an Astros game. We arrived at the game and were directed with our PDF files to a certain line. We made it through security and they yelled at us that we cant come in and go to the "Texas Line". Then we went to the "Texas Line" and the gentleman said we were kosher and once again, through security, and yelled at by a security guard named James Wilson that they dont accept "those" digital formats here and verbally accosted my girlfriend. We then went to the ticket line to get our leprous tickets printed and they asked for $5 each for our $120 tickets to print them. When we explained our debacle the customer service "professional" yelled at us, the third of the day, that we have to pay or get out... We left all together heartbroken and downtrodden because that kind of belittling to just see our local team was more than we could stomach and not pay $5 a ticket to be yelled at more. My lovely girlfriend will never know the thrill of section 122 row 20 seat 14.
