My wife hosted a birthday dinner for me here with some friends the other night. She made reservations a week and a half in advance for 8 people and was told that we would be seated in a booth. My wife and I arrived at Sambuca and asked for our reservation only to be told that we would have to wait until the rest of our party arrived. So, we went to the bar and had a few drinks. After the rest of our party arrived, they sat us at a table for 4, but with 6 chairs. Only 6 people showed up, so we shouldve had plenty of room, but no. Not only that, but the table was right behind the hostess stand in the front of the restaurant. Since it was obvious that there wasnt enough room for all of us to sit comfortably, we asked to be moved to a bigger table. We waited for a bigger table to be assembled and then sat down. We ordered 3 appetizers and ordered several rounds of drinks. After those were finished, we ordered dinner and another round of drinks. While we were finishing eating, a "bouncer" came up to our table and told us that we would have to get up and that they were taking our table to make room for the dance floor. Who puts a party of 6 people who had a reservation at a table that has to be removed? Apparently the intelligence of the staff here was that of a petting zoo (Im referring to the animals). Anyway, we told the bouncer that we had reservations and he said that he didnt care and he was coming back to take our table. We asked to speak to the manager and also went back to the hostess to figure out what was going on. The hostess gave us a buzzer to let us know when we could be re-seated. Keep in mind that were in the middle of dinner! The "manager" comes to us and complains to us that we cursed his "bouncer" and that this was "just policy". No one at our table was cursing anyone and no one ever mentioned this "policy" beforehand. At that point, we canceled the rest of our orders and asked for the bill. On our way out, we asked to speak to the manager again and we got a completely different person. We asked if there were two managers and he said, "No." So, we were lied to as well. The real manager had nothing to offer except, "Sorry about your luck" and a shrug of his shoulders. Obviously, this restaurant/bar does not care about its customers. We will never be returning. There are far too many places in the DFW area that offer better food, better service, and better atmosphere. On another note, you might be wondering about the food. Most of the items on the menu contain shrimp. I love shrimp, so I was looking forward to it, but the waitress informed us that they were out of shrimp, so we would need to order something else. The food was nothing to brag about. Ive had better. And for the comments about Cougar Town, Sambuca 360 is it! If youre on the prowl for a cougar, look no further! Your hunt is over!

Great Food Terrible Service and Policy Our group came here on a Saturday evening to celebrate a friends birthday. Upon arrival I had to wait just to even be asked for drink service. When I finally was asked what I would like to drink I replied an Agave Nectar Margarita on the rocks with salt. The server had this incredulous look on her face and asked whether I wanted it with ice. I should have known right then that the servers at this place suck. When the margarita came it was likely the worst margarita Ive ever had including the one I had years ago in Tampa Bay, Florida where they sure as hell do not know how to make margaritas. The server came around and asked whether it was good and I said no so she suggested I try the Spicy Blueberry Margarita. I hesitated but went along with her suggestion and approval stating that it is "very popular". When that 2nd margarita came it was even worse and tasted like limeade without sugar with a hint of blueberry in it. Fortunately the Prime Ribeye I had ordered came and it was excellent so I forgot all about the terrible margaritas. Then the kicker cane, the straw that broke the camels back. I was 1/2 way through eating when we were told that we had to leave due to "a time limit". I was stunned and shocked, threw my credit card on the table and left while the group stayed. Long story short if you want great food but can finish your meal under 1 hour flat and dont drink anything but water or can handle drinks made by quick lube techs by day/ "bartenders" by night then yes do come here. If you expect superior service and be able to socialize while enjoying your dinner then this isnt the place for you.

My friend went there for her birthday with her friends and family. She was real excited because her family flew in to surprise her and this was supposed to be a special dinner reserved in a spot of the restaurant. The waitress/service manager had the be the rudest, worst mannered server Ive ever come across. After terrible food, terrible service, the service manager threatened to call the police on my friend after stomping around the table looking at everyone trying to find some kind of culprit. After asking what the problem was, she was said that she was observing through a camera and caught her 20 year old drinking??? What? No one served him a drink and we were sitting across from him, but they couldnt provide any proof. They kicked him out of the restaurant and threatened to charge everything on the credit card on file. He was upset at being accused of something he didnt do and getting thrown out of his mothers birthday dinner, he did not want to come back in. The party was ruined. When we confronted her to provide proof she cursed at her son to get the hell out of her building. When told of her unprofessionalism and her rudeness, she said this was her place. There was so much more that just makes the experience so unbelievable. You shouldnt even get that kind of treatment at McDonalds but to get treated like that at your 50th surprise party with your family that flew in out of state to be with you at prices that arent cheap is unacceptable.

Wanted to get a good meal with my girlfriend before I deploy to Afghanistan next week. This place needs to understand the concept of being a service-based organization. A good restaurant would walk its customers to their tables. The hostess did not but rather pointed to a general area. My girlfriend and I went and found us a table for two. After ten minutes of not being served, a waitress came up and said that the table we were at was reserved. To our knowledge, any table in this area was free, according to the hostess. Not only did this waitress not serve us, but she again pointed to an area we could sit. There was one table in that area and it was underneath an extremely noisy air conditioning unit. Honestly, being in the Army I dont complain about nearly anything. I just expect that a good restaurant provides its customers with a good service and respect. For something like this to piss me off so close to deployment really goes to show how little this company must care about its customers and service members.
