My Husband and I were there March 6 - 8th 2015. Weather was great and Brad Paisley was in town. He and I toured Cap Rock. They were under construction and adding on some new rooms. Rooms for a Wedding and wedding guests, and a brides maids room! They were also fixing up their huge entertainment room at that time! The Owners Tommy and Janna English are super nice. Both are realtors. I had the opportunity to speak with Janna. She said that they are improving the place so that OLDER alumni can come and be with the other OLDER Alumni during Football games and or just come and plan a social to watch a game on the BIG SCREEN .... and enjoy some Good wine while you are there. Janna said she loves to throw a good party - and loves to host BIG social events. They have a lovely area when you come into the Winery that has nice tables and chairs to be comfortable in. They also have another room but we did not go inside - tis where the wine I think is made - (under construction at the time)... They have a NICE Bar area for tasting wines too! A nice young lady was there to give you all kinds of information about each tasting and how the Wine was made. (Im sorry, I forgot her name...) I am the wine drinker in my family - my Husband (not so much) he just not interested. I am not your SWEET wine person - I am more of the DRY wine side - however .. if there is one thats is NOT so sweet like candy sweet - I might try it! : ) My favorites are the 2011 Triple Threat and the 2012 Tempranillo. Triple Threat is Malbec, Shiraz, and Granach! YUMM! very smooth Tempranillo - well...its just good!!! Ummm... Yes, I am a red wine lover - I do like Whites - but I drink more red than anything else. The Cabernet Sauvignon 2006 was delicious - just like any cab to me but a Cap Rock Cab. 2011 Knuckle Bump was nice too. As all wineries - they all have their wine clubs - Cap Rock has one that anyone can join. You get to pick out what wines you like - and they will ship it to your house. If you want any of their wine glasses - no wine glasses for sale right now as they are in the middle of "Change".. so when all the construction is done and the change over has subsided - I am sure their glasses will be for sale again. I live in Plano - Hubby went to Lubbock for School and he takes me to Cap Rock to taste and purchase Wine when we go out there for a game or two Fun place to see and taste their wine! I know I will be back there again some day! Thank you Cap Rock for letting us see your place even when under construction! Jill and Peter Fortenbaugh

Caprock Winery is the best venue in Lubbock for weddings. The winery is flat-out gorgeous, and its large enough to accommodate a wedding of any size, indoor or outdoor. The staff were professional and accommodating from the initial planning to the end of the reception, and the price was totally reasonable. Even though our guests raved about how beautiful our venue was and how good our wine was, on the day of our wedding, all my wife and I had to do was show up and enjoy our day - the staff made sure that the venue was ready and that everything transitioned smoothly. If you are looking at wedding venues, I cant recommend Caprock highly enough.

We went to Caprock this past weekend and loved it! Our tour guide, Leah, was very knowledgable and friendly. We got to taste multiple wines, with the $5 tasting fee waived when we purchased bottles. After tasting we sat on their beautiful patio and drank a full glass. I highly recommend making this a place you visit on your trip to Lubbock, or just for a relaxing afternoon.

Very bad experience. Acted like were disturbing them to buy wine from them. Would never go back.
