This is mine and my daughters favorite park in the area. When I was off for two weeks last year, we went all but one day. Since we went while everyone was at school and work, the park wasnt busy at all. The park does get pretty busy during the weekend. I love the pavilion with the benches and rocking chairs where parents can get shade while their children are playing. The ground is a very soft padding- I like this better than pebbles or wood chips that can get a bit messy. After reading some of the most recent reviews, Im sad to see that parts of the park is closed, and that the foam blocks were missing. The foam blocks helped children who were strangers become friends while they were building together. Hopefully the features that were taken away return to this park. I really wish there were more parks like it in the Houston/Katy area.

I really liked this park (especially since I drove from Cypress to see it). My four year old son and I loved the different sensory activities (the tall grass, climbing tower, giant foam building blocks, musical bridge, and the variety of swings). I also really liked the explanation stakes at each station. Though there was no official parking lot, parking was not difficult (we arrived about 11:30a). We brought our own snacks/lunch and were able to eat under the nicely covered pavilion area. I gave this park four stars because there were no restrooms, so we were not able to stay as long as I would have liked(30-40 minutes) not being from the immediate area. I definitely understand that it is a public park, but a restroom feature alone would increase my rating to five stars.

The neighbodhood Moms are excitedly chanting the praises of this park. It was fabulous for our toddler and elementary school child to visit. Attractions include a three story playset (safely outfitted), foam blocks to build things, swings, a condensation learning area to learn about the cycle of water (this is a utility district investment), covered picnic tables. One thing that makes the park first class is the support. I went online and entered our concern that the rain example did not work. They investigated THAT DAY and fixed that week. Wow, this place is maintained so well by the support team! We eagerly await our next visit!

Unfortunately people are not taking care of the park. Came here on Sunday morning and there is trash all over the place. Mostly it is the fault of the parties not bringing additional trash bags but it would be smart if they had. A place to put trash bags for people to grab if they had functions here. Not sure why the city should dish out this much money if the participants dont take care if it. The park is great when clean, but right now I want to clean someone else mess if I had trash bags to clean it up.

Es un parque muy lindo e ideal para niños pequeños. Tiene aparatos que están en muy buenas condiciones y como bien lo dice todo tiene un fin de exploración. El parque es muy tranquilo y cómodo.

Awesome park, different from the usual designs. Went there when it was brand new a couple of years ago and went now and can see that some of the stuff is run down. They used to have giant foam blocks to play with which arent there anymore. Tends to be crowded on weekends.

Awesome park with multiple funny swings, slopes, climb dome, shaded tables and chairs. A perfect place for parents and kids, and with other kids every weekend so my son can play with them! Bring your travel potty though, there are no restrooms nearby.

Today we went to the Exploration Park and had a lot of fun there. What the kids love to play the most is the foam blocks. I shared more detailed information in youishare: A Fantastic Park for Katy Kids to Play: Exploration Park

My children love this park. We heard about the park while it was being built. Perhaps not the best park for 3 and younger little ones because there are many bigger kids and they can be a little rough with the smaller ones.

Awesome kid Park, very clean and safe for kids. My daughter loves this place, one thing we wish they had was a restroom If there is one I didnt see one. As many water fountains they have that is one huge downfall.

A different kind of playground for the kids, not just your traditional swing and slide. I dont give it five star for the only reason that it needs restrooms, thats the only thing missing. Very gorgeous and safe.

Very unsafe. Ruler slide will someday mangle a childs hand. Children can fall through the gap in the stairs. Stepping blocks are tall and close. A child who falls could split thier head on a close block

This park is incredible. I love the slide house, bridges, swinging hammock, and edible plants. There is a covered area for sunny days, restrooms, and the whole park is gated. Hidden treasure!

Newish park at Katy. A little bit crowded sometimes. Is a different park that offers a good shaded area, swings, slides and some learning areas.

This is a fun park. We love that its not a traditional playground. It does need a restroom and I wish it were shaded. Great park and well kept.
