I have been several times and we loved it more each time. My husband is in a wheelchair and they made special arrangements to help him into the trailer ride and even let our party go separately this last time. It was amazing, because the previous time we brought our young niece there were so many kids that not all of them got a turn and my niece (who was still learning about taking turns) was distraught. This time however, she got to feed and pet every animal she wanted to. The staff is amazing and truly cares about the welfare of the animals. During our ride through, one of the antelope was eating a shopping bag (which is completely crazy because I have NEVER seen any trash) and the driver stopped immediately to get it away from him. We even saw a bird that possibly was injured-limping a bit- and she made note of where it was and how old it was, so that they could check back up on it. Im an animal lover and this place is truly a diamond in the rough.

We found the tour to be well worth the money. Lots of animals come out to interact and eat, the bucket of feed you can buy is huge - not just a little bag or a couple of handfuls - and it is a large stretch of land so its not a quick drive and its over. The guides take their time, stop and let everyone feed the animals, and give lots of information. Theres not a whole lot else to do - other than the tour they have a petting zoo set up which is also a lot of fun for the kids - but really the tour and zoo combined are a good few hours worth of time so thats not a problem. Only thing Id like to see is a little more staff around the petting zoo area to answer questions and guide people.

I come here with my nieces every time Im in town. For 4 adults and 2 kids, we usually get 2 big buckets of food and that seems to do us just fine. We love being able to feed all the animals out in the open before you actually get on the tram. Its always a hoot watching the goats try and nibble the heck out of everything they come into contact with. The tram ride itself is always and awesome experience. Being able to touch and feed the dozens of different animals they have there is a truly memorable experience. One day we vow to stay on the property in one of their cabin rentals to get the true safari experience. Be sure to look online for coupons before you go!

Out of all the drive through safaris this was our favorite. The best is that they drive you so you can focus on feeding, petting, and taking photos with the animals. They have a good variety of animals too. The best was watching them chase us for food. So cute! The animals are all super friendly and will eat nicely out of your hands. We even watched camels give kisses as they took food out of peoples mouth like lady and the tramp! They also give you a giant bucket of food instead of the small brown paper bags that other places give. So there is plenty of food to last you on the 30 min drive through the safari. Highly recommend this place.

My husband and I took our boys here and we really enjoyed it! The staff is very friendly and accomodating. The tour was like no other we have experienced. These animals LOVED us and our food and went so far as to lick us repeatedly. (I suggest bringing wipes!) The staff are very helpful at answering questions about the animals and they are equally as patient with the kids handling the animals. The petting zoo was a blast. We were surrounded by animals just waiting to be feed and got to experience all of the different personalities of the animals as well. Great job Exotic Resort...we cant wait to tell everyone about you.

Went to the zoo on Saturday and took the tour. The guide was knowledgeable and helpful when asked questions. The animals appeared healthy and were very accessible. The camels especially were nice and let us pet them. The entire tour went through three separate areas with numerous animals in each. I highly recommend this. The petting zoo portion of the safari zoo was less exciting but that is certainly to be expected when animals are involved. The animals seemed skittish and/or just lazy. Either way they didnt entertain the children the same as the tour did. But it certainly didnt put a damper on the visit at all.

Yes, the cabins were rustic and small but what an incredible experience for our 2 year old. He was entertained with all the animals to feed, pet, love, and hug. The adults take a day trip to visit LBJ State Park and Fredericksburg. LBJ State Park has a living farm which is extremely educational for the kids and adults. There is plenty to do for all. This is a place to sit back and relax. Staff was extremely friendly. Besides the tour there is a wonderful petting zoo and animals to pet around the childrens play ground area. We will visit again soon.

This is great for adults and kids. They sell buckets of feed to feed the animals on the safari ride, which was so much fun for the kids. Some animals will eat straight out of your palms or even the bucket. The guide talks about the different animals and their history, but I honestly didnt catch a lot of it due to all the excitement from the kids. The kids also enjoyed petting the cute baby goats. There are cabins for rent, but they were all reserved when we looked a few weeks before visiting.

So lovely. Such a wide range of animals and friendly staff. While there wondering the petting zoo after our safari. The lovely lady who worked up front let my daughter assist with bottle feeding a calf and fawn. The cabins were nice quIant and quiet. They supplied multiple BBQs and had all amenities. The pool was very nice and family friendly. My only complaint of the entire stay was the fact the pool flood lights were on max all evening making it hard to absorb the night.

If you love animals, this is a good place to see them and interact with them. After you buy tickets in the gift shop, youll go to a fenced area that has many deer and goats that you can feed. Next, youll hop on a tractor-pulled wagon for a meandering tour of the 137-acre property. The animals know that a wagon equals food, so they get as close as they can while you toss handfuls of food to them (or let them eat from your hand if you are brave).

This place is great for the kids! And the adults will be entertained as well. Lots of up close experiences with American Buffalo, gazelle, a variety of deer, ostrich, goats, Scottish cattle and camels. A very unique place that could only be found in the Texas Hill country. I just took my 13 and 11 year olds daughters for a return visit after almost a decade. They still lived the place. Buy the bucket of feed! And enjoy!

I just left and I immediately want to go back! The animals are beautiful and well taken care of. I will definitely come back next summer. I loved it so much and so did my brother. I would recommend this to anyone with children. I live in Lubbock, TX but the drive is totally worth it! My mom and I want to get a baby goat and we will be back to see if any of yours are available. This place is a must see
