My wife and I like coming here to feed the prairie dogs. They like roots and plants, so we typically bring a bag of baby carrots. Ive seen people throw them celery too and they seem to enjoy. Go on a sunny day mid morning, they typically will be out eating then. A great activity for younger kids. Also, dont bring your family dog, the prairie dogs dont like it.

THIS PLACE IS SO CUTE! The prairie dogs are usually out on nice days. They love carrots and unsalted nuts! You can see babies in the spring around early May. There are also ground owls that you can spot on rare occasions!

Great place to see Prarie Dogs in their natural habitat. Theres plenty of parking. The observation area has a gazebo-like structure in the center. It has a roof and offers shade from the sun.

Great place, kids enjoy looking and listening. Beautiful scenery, especially in spring/summer as ground floral starts blooming. Nice educational board also with descriptive picture.

Love Prarie Dog Town! I wish I had pictures of friends feeding the Prarie dogs raisins, thats if you are slow and cautious enough to approach them. Lubbock gem for sure
