My husband and I live in Europe and have tasted many different wines all over Europe. I wasnt expecting to get the quality of wines that you can find in Europe in the Hill Country of Texas. I was wrong. This vineyard has excellent wines, both white and red. We tried the Chardonnay, the Due Bianco and the P. Grigio as whites. All three were good wines, but I really liked the distinct citrus flavours of the Chard. and complexity of the Due Bianco. The Due Bianco is great value for money at less than 10 dollars a bottles. The reds were equally good, if not even more impressive. We tried the Sangiovese , the Syrah, the Merlot, the Cabernet Franc , the two Torro de Tejas and the two Kick Butt Cabs. All of the wine was well-balanced, most with berry or plum flavours and good value for the money. I was impressed with all that we tried, but, for the reds, I would recommend the Sang., Syrah, Cab Franc and the 2011 Kick Butt Cab.

Pretty good wine, although I think they use oak chips more often than they should. Kind of a shame to grow all that wine on site and then not treat it like it should be treated. Nice staff, beautiful grounds, cheaper tasting fees than most other places in the area.

I thought the wine was very smooth. I never knew about this gem so close to Austin. The staff, namely April, was very accomodating, friendly, and captivating. I hope to return soon because it was a great experience.

Very friendly and informative staff. All the wines are great and the $5 tasting fee is waived if you buy one bottle of wine. We will definitely go back and have already recommended it to people.

Enjoyed visiting the staff and learning about their wine from the owner. This is largest winery in Texas and the oldest since 1995.

The wines were good but the employee giving us the tasting was snarky and a little rude to us.
