Benjamin is an excellent wine maker and gave our group of 8 an in-depth education on his wines and production. Definitely the best Chardonnay in the area and the Reds were spectacular! When pulling up to his winery it is not what you would expect to see but the experience will not disappoint. Will definitely visit again.

Best Texas wine Ive ever had. Calais owner and wine producer has an excellent working knowledge of old world techniques. His dedication and care for the wine he produces is evident in the final product. This is an absolute must visit for wine road 290, but Id drive from anywhere to taste more of whats available.

We stopped in without an appt and they worked us in. We had 20 min before their next sold out tasting. Fantastic wine. Only use Texas grapes. Make an appt and enjoy talking to these vintners. Its not touristy like some of the other stops in this highway. Really great experience.

Customer service much? After we waited five minutes at the tasting bar with several departing parties, the #winemaker walked right past us to help another group, without so much as a glance. Walked out, wont be back.
