Ok now that I have semi calmed down I can write my review. I have been to this place before and loved it, very nice place, which is why I decided to rent HALF of the venue for my engagement party. My fiancé and I met and paid the manager (Natalie) back in March. We discussed everything I wanted to take place. I kept in touch with her almost on a weekly basis just to verify that everything was a go. A lot of money has been paid (A lot of it was non-refundable) for make-up, catering services, décor set and takes down, life size poster of my partner and I, I mean we had everything set and PAID. I had over 100 family and friends RSVP to attend, and also had family flying in from out of town (plane tickets was purchased) to attend this HUGE event that my partner and I have been planning for MONTHSSSSS. I contacted Natalie 6 days before my party, just to touch bases with her, everything was cool. Less than 72 Hours before this HUGE event I get a phone call from her telling me " there are locks on the door due to legal issues", that she said she had "no idea about"... I was floored, the party we have been planning for months at this location was instantly ruined. My party planner and l call almost EVERY venue we could think of to move our engagement party, NO ONE could accommodate a large party with over 100 guest in this little time frame. I cried ALL DAY, and could not believe this has happened to us. We have put well over $1,500 into this and just like that it was gone. I was advise they knew well ahead of time that there was legal issues, and no one called me to tell me anything. Still to this day the owner ( I think his name is Trent) of the club has NOT called me to apologize or even offer a solution... NOTHING!!! Yes I did get my money back for the club rental, but I lost a lot money for the deposits I paid on make-up, food, photography, catering services, and décor, not to mention the plane tickets that our family purchased to fly in for this event. I had to CANCEL one of the biggest events I have ever planned. I hate that every time I tell someone the situation, the 1st question they ask is " is the owner black?", I try my best to support black owned businesses and this is the thanks I get. I am still shocked that the owner himself has not called to give his apology.

I have come here SEVERAL times for birthdays and date nights, and my experience every time has been amazing! Great music, great atmosphere and GREAT seating! Its such a swanky spot, and theres either live music performances or a banging DJ. The reservation process is easy; Natalie was very helpful and professional in handling our reservation for my husbands birthday. It made the whole night epic. Id definitely recommend coming here if youre ready to let loose or let your hang down. Cheers!

My first visit & probably my last. I attended a family members birthday party. It cost $10 to park & $10 to enter the club. The stairway entry was too dark, you could barely see the steps - club is located upstairs, 2nd floor. The A/C was not working & it was too hot inside (the icing on the cupcakes was melting right off the top). An electrician was there working on the problem, but it didnt get resolved before my departure. In the end, the owner/manager refunded our money.

I had an AMAZING birthday celebration at this place! The booking manager (Natalie) was extremely helpful! The bartender Brandi was fantastic and truly catered to the needs of ALL of my guest. The band was priceless!!! The lead vocalist truly, truly showed love to the birthday guest. The BBQ downstairs on the way out was delicious! Every portion of my expectations were exceeded!!!!! #Very Satisfied Customer

Fun spot. Nice reverse happy hour vibe. The DJs unfortunately do what they want to do and play what they want. We were there for almost two hours...pretty boring. My take on a dance spot is if a lot of people are in the joint, theres a dance floor and DJs are spinning, the floor should be jumping --slow or fast music. If not, you [DJ] aint doing your job! Its not rocket science. Or is it?

The bartender on Friday night is PMSing 24/7. She ignored EVERYONE in our party until she decided to bring her lazy azz to the other side of the bar. Then had the nerve to get a tude. I guess she thought she was smart but then she missed $20 worth of drinks on my tab. No wonder Friday nights look like a ghost town. Will NEVER visit again.

Very first impression a/c not working and we payed $10.00 a piece to get in $10.00 to park,why does this business make you pay to park in there parking lot makes no sense to me.The owner walked around like the air was working really that is poor management and the drinks are watered down. I will never go here again.

My family and I were visiting from out of town and we found this place on the internet. We went and we really enjoyed the live band who threw it down and the lady who was singing oh my GOD......I have no words she was absolutely incredible and it was her birthday. Happy Birthday Queen & Keep Shining!

The venue is nice, well decorated. There wasnt much of a crowd but theres great potential. We had a great time and thats all that matters. The DJ was good and he took us back to the good ole days. They mentioned having a re-grand opening the following night. I hope that went well. Will go back.

Just as I was about to go home I walked into Midtown Lounge and was greeted by the most amazing band Ive heard in a long while...Josh Brown and Da Funk Da Mentals have inspired me to listen to start back singing...The club was really fly...Overall I thoroughly enjoyed myself

I LOVE Midtown Lounge Houston! The DJs play phenomenal music and the atmosphere is even better! Oh, and the drinks and the bartenders are TOP NOTCH! A great place to host parties! TRUELY a great place to explore the ultimate experience of Houstons night life!

The launch event for Young Black Professionals The Magazine was held here. Spacious venue with decent acoustics. Only the location & current condition of the interior (i.e., flooring and furniture could use an upgrade) keep Indigo from a higher rating.

This club is a rip off. The ladies behind the bar will tell you a 8 dollar drink is 12 dollars just to pocket the other 4 dollars plus they add a 2.22 gratuity to all bills. Get receipts and double check them before paying for anything.

While bar hopping for fam birthday, went to this place. Awesome music with 10 dollar cover. Drinks are pricey but chill atmosphere. Took a star because the air was out when we came, but sure they have it fixed by now... hopefully lol

It was amazing how me and my girl friends walked into Midtown Lounge and Heard this guy sing...Hes Great....The club was very nice and upscale and the drinks were great...We will never forget that night.

This is a very upscale club with a couture flair in their decor! The DJ was jamming all my H-town artists and the buffet was premier!!! I cant wait to have my party there.
