My daughter (around 2 years old) just loves this zoo. The enclosures are very nice and she (and her parents) loves how many different animals there are to see. There also is a fun splash pad for a chance for the kids to cool off. Just remember to bring a swimsuit, swim diaper, and water shoes (or bare feet). They have changing rooms at the splash pad. Plan to go early during the summer due to the heat.

We went for the big debut of the newest member of the elephant family and it was awesome to see Baby Joy for the first time. We got to see many of the other animals as well. The zoo employees were set up throughout with games for our children to interact in. We also visited the childrens splash pad which was a lot of fun as well. It was a cool ending to a hot morning... thumbs up!

Use this gate to avoid the crowds of the main gate. This one is close to the light rail Hospital/Zoo station.
