My husband and I had our wedding at Gabriel Springs on Aug. 2nd, 2013. We both live in Las Vegas but as my parents live in the Georgetown area, we opted to have it there as opposed to the infamous Sin City. We got engaged right before Christmas 2012 which provided me the opportunity to look at venues while home visiting my parents over the holiday break. Before going to visit GS, my parents and I looked over the websites for all of the wedding venues in the Austin / Georgetown, TX general area. I had contacted several to set up appointments for while I was home and from the get-go, GS was the most exuberant and professional in terms of response. This automatically provided me with a good feeling about the venue as I was only home for the week and so obviously, time to look around was of the essence. Before meeting with Susan at GS, my parents and I actually ventured out to get glimpses of the various locations that we were interested in because my dad was not going to be able to attend the various meetings that we had booked to look at them. After this "adventure" GS was definitely the front runner. The next day I was set to meet with Susan Pruitt at GS and upon walking into the office, I was sold! The ambience of the place, as well as the warmth and friendliness that I encountered had me sold before I even walked around the rest of the grounds!! Susan took my mother and I on a tour of the venue and it made me melt when I saw that Susan had put my name on the door leading into the bridal sweet. In addition to this, the venue was just breath-taking. The wood through out, along with the clean wood smell was welcoming and I immediately saw the exact look of the wedding that I wanted to create. Upon leaving that first meeting, I asked my mom and was excited to hear that she was just as sold as I was. We talked to my dad immediately after and needless to say we did not feel the need or desire to go see any other venues and so called GS and booked it for the 2nd of August (one of the dates that was available during the time frame we had previously identified). This date was a Friday and while many prefer to have their weddings on a Saturday, it ended up being PERFECT because when a month out, the venue wasnt booked for the Thursday prior (Aug. 1st) and we were then allowed to get in on that day and set up. This made my actual wedding day very relaxed and I was able to focus on enjoying my time with my bridesmaids as we got dolled up, etc. The venue itself is gorgeous!! I therefore decided immediately that in terms of decorations, the old phrase "less is more" held true as the place is so pretty on its own that it didnt require much to create the timeless-elegance feel that I so wanted. In terms of the service from Susan and her staff, they were on top of it to say the least. During our first meeting, my mother and I were provided with a "preferred vendors" list and were able to meet with and book our caterer that same week. I was also informed about the day-of-coordinator that my parents and I hired to run the day of the wedding, Ashley Bunch. Her and I immediately hit it off and on the day-of, as well as the day prior when we were doing set-up, Ashley was there to make sure everything was set up and ran with absolute efficiency so that the event was more or less seamless. Susan and Mattie were on site both days as well and consistently checked in with myself and my parents to ensure that everything was okay, running smoothly and that all of our needs were met. Having my wedding at Gabriel Springs was the best decision that I could have made! The entire staff and the venue itself were flawless and made my day the absolute best day that I could have ever envisioned!! We received compliment after compliment about the elegance and beauty of the place.... sooo much better than anything I could have found anywhere in Vegas or in the Austin metrop for that matter!! I could honestly go on and on but I think that I have more or less made my point....

This venue is absolutely gorgeous! The area was beautifully landscaped and everywhere you turned the beauty of Texas was never amiss. The spacious reception hall was beautifully draped with lights and other included amenities that made decorating much easier. The lawn was beautifully kept and tons of flowers were blooming everywhere. The only negative thing that could be said about the landscape was that there were a few unfinished areas where equipment, dirt piles, etc. could be seen from various views. The service on the other hand was horrible to say the least. Michelle, who my family and friends later named “The Mini Nazi” had an extremely bad attitude, was very unprofessional, and was unhelpful to say the least. To start off she willingly brought in 3 observers, one of which was a male, who were there to view the venue for their own event into the bridal room while the bride, bridesmaids, and other female wedding party were getting ready. Yes, she did this with no warning to the occupants of the bridal room. Even though the contract stated that she was allowed to do this during a specific timeframe while events were taking place, she should have least warned the occupants of the bridal room. Second, an electrical problem arose during the set up process. Michelle had no idea how to fix it herself nor did she contact anyone to solve the problem. Thankfully my uncle was an electrician and was able to resolve the issue. Third, the main floor in the hall was very dusty and dirty from a sorority party the night before. My friends and family had to resolve this issue by sweeping prior to set up. Lastly, Michelle decided to boss various members of my family making unnecessary demands and promoting rude behavior.

We got married on 3/27/15 and got so many compliments on this beautiful venue! For a wedding of 120 it felt very comfortable inside and we had plenty of room to dance. It was perfect spring weather so I wanted to do some yard games and the lawn and grounds were impeccably maintained. But if you go off-the beaten path there were a few beautiful clusters of bluebonnets and cactus I wanted to pose in for photos, but be careful of ants! Susan and Mattie were very responsive to all my emails during the planning process and helped with day of event preparation. There was a tour on the wedding day but they were not intrusive at all and we had forward notice. Another reason we chose Gabriel Springs was the flexibility to pick our own vendors and bring in our own alcohol. The only small requirements that werent ideal were no sparklers for the exit and needing to close the bar at 11pm, but we were so tired by then from all the dancing we did it didnt matter!

A beautiful facility, tucked in among the hills of central Texas, just southwest of Georgetown. My daughter and son-in-law chose this venue for their wedding. They planned for an outdoor wedding, but were attracted by the facilitys spacious and well-decorated indoor hall, which could easily host both the wedding and the reception in case of bad weather. And that was exactly what we needed! Strong thunderstorms moved through shortly before the wedding, followed by a cold rain that lasted throughout the night. The indoor wedding went off flawlessly, and the venues staff made the change between a wedding hall and a reception hall in just minutes. Everyone on the staff was great, and the facilities - from the spacious dressing rooms to the full commercial kitchen to the separate bar area - were excellent. I cant recommend The Springs Event Venue highly enough!
