THIS IS THE WORST RESTAURANT IN THE WHOLE DFW/FT TO GO TO! You are wasting you time and your money. The service is horrible! food is horrible!, kitchen is nasty! (there was food and junk on the floor), womans bathroom was gross and stunk with a employee to clean inside! The music was WAY TO LOUD! We couldnt even have a conservation with each of because we could hear each other even sitting next to each other. The food was cold and over priced for what they give you. I had the Chicken & Waffles with greens and the green were way too salty. They Waffles were hard as a brick and cold. We had a party of seven and everyone was disappointed in their food! We had a reservation at 7:30p didnt get seated until 8:30p, what was the point of making one. The hostess were confused about everything. I called several times that week about my reservations and tables being correct. Talked to a Deproah (dont know how spelled) she was short and gave me no reassurance that I would have a table less know where it was gong to be. I requested to be in the room to the left of the bar, because of the LOUD MUSIC, but she tried to sit me right in front of the speakers. I had older guest with me and I quickly knew the music was too LOUD and had to be moved to where I had asked for during my calls all week for my reservation. Also, they dont enforce the dress code! There were guys in there with tennis shoes, shagging pants (shorts and pants) with baseball hats turned sideways. It was so surprising to see all of this. We had a party of seven and left the waitress a $60 dollar tip. Then we realize the next day that they added a huge gratuity to our bill. I called the restaurant the following day and told them what happen. The hostess told me the manager would call me back the next day. He didnt and also the next day…no call. I had to call in again the next day. When I brought it to his attention he told me it was our fault to not looking at the bill and we signed for it and it was nothing they would or could do. He said I needed to take it up with my credit card company. He got irate and loud with me and I had to hang up on him. I have been to Buttons before and experience the same poor services, food and etc. etc. I will NEVER NEVER EVER PATRONIZE BUTTONS AGAIN AS LONG AS I LIVE! And I will discourage everyone I know not to also. I have had different friends go and have said the same things I am saying now. THEY HAVE HAD A BAD EXPERIENCE! DONT WASTE YOUR TIME, MONEY EARS AND EYES ON THIS PLACE! IT IS A NIGHTMARE ON ADDISON ROAD!!!!!!!

Response to manager: Not sure if you read what i said correctly......we called several days in advance to increase the size of the party. This was not done on the spot; for i would have understood the policy. No one explained, on the phone, about the sign you have at the hostest desk. ...Being posted there for those making reservations on Open Table on by calling in, isnt relevant nor informative, at all. There is a simple solution....do not take reservations if its still going to be first come first served.....and please make sure your policy is explained when reservations are made. No one should have to prepare for an outing and drive through traffic, and may i add, through a storm for reservations to not be honored(this is what the hostest and manager explained to us). No, waiting at least an hour to be seated for reservations is not acceptable. Im so disappointed in the customer service my party received on 6/4/17. To celebrate my birthday, i chose Buttons. I invited 13 people along to this celebration. Reservations were made several days prior to the date. I had been to Buttons many times before and figured my party would enjoy the experience as well. My party arrived for our 2:00pm reservations...and was told we would be added to the "wait to be seated" list. There were serveral parties ahead of us, to include a party of 30. Thinking making reservations was protocol for a group, we later learned that Reservations arent honored on Sunday but it first come first served. Im not sure why this was not communicated to us when the reservations were initially made and to know, we called a second time to increase the party size but yet no one communicated that Reservations arent honored on Sundays. This was an embarrassment for me and a disappointed for my hungry party. After learning that our wait time could be well over an hour, we left and went to a close by restaurant. I chose Buttons because i love ambiance, food, and just so happen a favorite musician was performing. Im asking for others to be notified about rules on reservations so that they arent betrayed like we were. Unfortunately, the nice Birthday Coupon I received, i could not use. Management needs to address this.

The restaurant provided a nice ambiance for my boyfriend and me on Mothers Day, and the live band is a nice touch and a great addition to provide a great evening. The staff overall were great; however, our waiter was okay but appeared to need training on a few basics, such as how to not reach over ones plate and drink while trying to serve others at the table. Our waiter also had to be assisted by other waiters to make our evening complete with good service, and they outshined him. The food that was provided for us was like a Tale of Two Cities: my food was good whereas my boyfriends was unsatisfactory in some areas. We started off with calamari as an appetizer, which I swear came out on a small plate with about 5-7 calamari on it (it was just that--it barely appetized)! They serve this same plate size even for a big party of people. That wasnt enough calamari for the two of us--especially for the price of $9. I had the catfish plate, which tasted good and the portions werent bad. My boyfriend, on the other hand, ordered the Tenderloin Oscar plate, which was supposed to be an 8 oz steak, mashed potatoes, grilled shrimp, and a lobster tail. The steak was small--especially for a man--and the lobster tail wasnt that, but pieces of lobster sprinkled on that little steak. The dish did not resemble the picture that they display right on their website. That steak was much thinner, not rounded out like the picture, and more about 5 ozs, but definitely not 8 ozs. That steak looked pitiful. Overall, the experience was "Fair." I really wish that the food portions matched the prices. For what one is paying, the food should be more plentiful than that. Weve dined at many restaurants, and most are pretty good at matching up the portions with the price--this was not that type of experience. If they could improve this particular issue, then this could be a top notch restaurant.

Horrible. We were at Buttons for a wedding reception. People were seated at tables of four. The restaurant opened at noon, food service started around 2:30, with everyone who ordered chicken and waffles served first. Not per table, per dish ordered. Chicken and waffles were piled high on the plates. My husbands meatloaf arrived after another 15-20 minutes, wed told the other couple at our table not to wait for us to be served - we were glad we had, or their food would have been cold. My food, smothered porkchops, finally came after another 20-30 minutes, everyone else at the table had finished eating. My husbands meal had a small piece of meatloaf on a piece of bread with a scoop of mashed potatoes on top, about 1/3 the amount of food served for chicken and waffles. My smothered porkchops were tough and dry, served with a small scoop of macaroni and cheese, and a bowl of overlooked greens of some sort, and were about 1/2 the amount of food my husbands meatloaf had been. There is no excuse for smothered pork chops to be tough or dry. It was obvious neither the kitchen staff nor management knew how to prepare and expedite food properly. Also, in the 3+ hours we were there, we received our original order of unsweetened iced tea and had our glasses refilled ONCE, with SWEET TEA. We were not asked which we were drinking, we were so glad to finally have a refill that we didnt think to ask for the right type of tea. It had gotten so bad, I was consider getting the tea pitcher myself and pouring our own refills. Buttons might be ok for a single table, but Id neither ask them to serve a large group nor go with a large group again,. I think the cost of any meal other than chicken and waffles should be refunded to the bridal party.
