By far the worst golf experience of my life. I came with a friend looking to have a good, relaxed time playing golf and drinking a beer or two, and the 30 minute wait to get on the course is about what I expected. However, the course layout is quite dangerous, as the holes are directly adjacent to each other, with the greens of one hole next to the tee box of the next hole. Because many golfers here are usually drunk and unexperienced, the course itself is in pretty rough shape. Because of this, I got nailed with a ball in my surgically-repaired knee from a drunk, frat-bro golfer on the adjacent course. My friend had to run to a restaurant next door to get a bag of ice, and the place didnt offer a refund or even much of an apology.

This place is a great way to spend an afternoon. The crowd is not normally even what I would call "amateur" golfers. Normally they are cold beginners who have never held a club other than mini-golf. That said, it is not an easy course. You would have to be pretty good to hit par. It takes a could hours to play this course. Warning on parking: some holes run along Lee Barton Dr. So, be careful parking on that road since many beginners have a tendency to shank the ball. (That road has no parking signs for a reason ;) Overall good cheap golf.

Great times for Austinites. There is plenty of parking on the street. It is fairly well maintained, the prices are okay, Im sure the land they are sitting on is worth a fortune now. The people are friendly and nice. Its nicely shaded so you dont get too hot. There is a good variety of difficulty here. For me I feel a 9 iron is needed at times. Pace of play can vary, but its always a great time here. BYOB so adults love it, and you can grill if you really wanted to spend all day here and they have all day passes you can pay for as well.

This little 9 hole course is pretty cool to take group and have some fun. Its good for all ages and levels. Just beware of flying balls (from the beginners). If you get here early you dont have to worry too much. The awesome thing about this place is its BYOB so fill up the cooler and head out there. Some pretty sweet views of downtown as well. I would highly recommend trying this course out to work on your irons/putting/golf game.

This place is an excellent 9 hole course to play on. Great for anyone to come out and play on and hit some par 3s. For those of you golfers looking to sharpen up your short game by all means, this is the course to do it on and for those who really think your a good golfer, Tournaments are held every Monday afternoon. 2 person best ball tournaments. Overall Great Time Guaranteed. Watch where you park!

Love this place. Come here to practice your short game or just to drink a few beers with some friends. For all skill levels but be careful on the first few holes because if you slice it too much to the right you could end up hitting a parked car. Its amazing that a place like this exists on such a desirable plot of land. Hopefully they can stay around for another 50+ years!!

This urban pitch n putt is a hidden gem close to downtown. Its a 9-hole course that is perfect date with friends or otherwise. Its BYOB so bring a cooler to have frosty, cold ones from hole to hole. You can rent clubs or bring your own. Its only $8 for the course. Nice shade is found under huge trees but on sunny days it can get unbearable sometimes. A cheap and fun date.

I newer to the world and sport of golf so this is a great way to learn your clubs and strokes for a beginner. And its BYOB, so you can bring a smaller cooler for the 9 hole course. You have to be careful about rogue balls or careless players since the holes over-lap and are so close to one another. But otherwise, its a fun little spot.

Nice, fun place to play golf. Very low stress and byob. Piece of advice: play with a larger group of friends. No limit to how many can tee off at one time, so that can make things a little slower if youre not anticipating that. Greens are not what you would expect, taller grass, but that doesnt take away from the experience.

Very laid back pitch and putt, 9 hole course. Bring your own color with beer is what attracts a lot of people here. Can get crowded. Its fun, but the greens are terrible and you have to hit off mats from the tee boxs, but you cant expect much for a course that gets hacked up by a bunch of drunks lol

This is a classic Austin gem. Its worth every penny of the $9 green fee ($11 on the weekend). A nice little pitch and putt in the heart of Austin with some beautiful views of downtown. Bring a cooler and a few beers and youve got one of the most unique golf outings ever. Long live Butler Park!

$9 per round of golf +fee for clubs. Not a bad way to spend your Saturday or Sunday afternoon, eh? A scenic oasis in an already picturesque city, Butler Park pitch and putt is a good place for novices or pros. Take your gal or your bros, and dont forget BYOB!

First time ever golfing so take this with a few grains of salt. Its a 9 hole course. I assume its pretty beginner friendly because Ive never golfed before, and I got a birdie and par a few times. BYOB so that is a plus. Super affordable too.

This place is a great way to get outside and spend some time with friends and a six pack. Its a slight step up from putt-putt but nowhere near the cost of an actual round of golf. Show up early on the weekends to avoid a crowd.

A true Austin treasure and a peaceful retreat near the middle town. Theres golf too , par 3 small holes , its not about the golf course but the experience and well worth it. Nice for beginners in golf wanting to have fun.

An Austin classic, no dress code, kid friendly, cheap, and a variety of difficulty on the nine holes makes Butler park pitch n putt a great weekend activity. The park is BYOB and located near tons of great restaurants!

Fun place and fun to play for a low price. The greens arent really good, but it doesnt take away from the fun. Went there with a group that only half had ever played golf before and everyone enjoyed it.

Fun little golf course right in the middle of town. Dont get me wrong, its all sorts of tiny, but if you just want to spend a couple of hours out with friends you cant beat the location.

By far my favorite place to play golf in Austin. Although its only 9 holes its still a lot of fun. I recommend visiting the course in the morning to avoid having people tail you!

Butlers is an Austin gem! I love spending Sundays out there with friends and a few adult beverages. Its very cool to have a mini, 3-par golf course in the heart of Austin.
