I received a FaceBook invite to a KJO performance at The Red Lounge. I didnt know what to expect and nearly didnt go. The Lounge is housed in the old 4620 location. When I walked up to the front door I had this vision in my head of a smoky bar filled with old people nursing a beer. When I walked down those stairs I was pleasantly surprised. There was a wide range of ages present. The Lounge was clear and smoke free. I ordered wine and some tapas. There was a limited menu that particular evening but the food was delicious. The music was great, the volume wasnt overbearing or deafening. The crowd was respectful as were the servers. The kitchen wasnt loud and there were no distractions from the show. The performers came out and talked with some of the crowd who stuck around after the performance. Ive only been once, however, I will go again and soon.

A nice change of scenery from the typical sports bars and hipster dives that pop up so often in Knoxville. Good vibes and great live music. I really enjoyed the menu (origin facts on each drink) and they have some pretty unique selections as well as a wide range of variety. The food menu looked great and will definitely be back to try the chicken salad sliders. I HIGHLY recommend all the espresso drinks. If you want to hear jazz music, sip amazing cocktails and relax, this is the perfect place to do so. Also, ask for Allie because she did an excellent job at serving my party of 9!

Great music and ok food. The new changes seem to add a hint of authenticity to it. When you walk in you are greeted by old style music with a splash of modern twist. It is dimly lit and has an intiment feel. The service is sub par and could use a touch up. All in all a great place to get away from the usual crowded chat scene

The food was absolutely amazing and the music was awesome as well. The staff was extremely friendly and knowledgeable and always ready to serve. The establishment does not have a cook.... They have a chef because the presentation and The Taste and flavor of the fair was absolutely amazing. 10 Stars!

Last night was my first visit here and I am so glad I gave them a try! What a wonderful place! The artists were outstanding, great drink selection and the food was out of this world!!! Try the spinach salad and cheese platter! You will not be disappointed! We will definitely be back!!!

Enjoyable music, good alcohol selection. I had their Moscow Mule, and it had quite the punch of ginger, which I enjoy. It was a blues night when I went, and the performers were locals who took turns sharing the stage and playing with each other, and I thought that was pretty cool.

This was my first time visiting. Wendell Werner is simply AMAZING! The atmosphere was great. I actually had a great time. I have been looking for live jazz in a nice cozy setting. I have found a jazz home. Will definitely return.
