We reserved a spot in Feb for the Great American Eclipse in Aug. That process was perfect, Mr. V was quick to answer our emails and kept our reservation. He only took a deposit after I asked about giving one. It is a small campground with only 32 spots. It was clean and well maintained. The pool had just opened back up after a brief shutdown do to an algae issue. I observed him working on treating it the 1st night. We enjoyed a bonfire on the evening we arrived and met some of our fellow campers. Yes, some campers are extended stay folks that are working on contract to (re)open a local zinc mine. They were great folks, and good neighbors. The wifi was good enough for me to catch GoT on Sunday night without an issue. I would return (12 hour drive from home). Mr V. lives on site and was always available whether or not the office was occupied. As this is getting too long, basically, (for the 1 star folks), its camping not the Ritz. Get over yourself. Oh, and Granville was the definition of quaint. They tape/broadcast a Bluegrass radio show on saturday nights too!

This "RV Campground" looks like someones backyard. There are cables lying on the ground everywhere and campers are piled on top of each other like a sardine contest. The pool was not open. From the overgrown foliage and algae in the pool, it appears that it is never open. It very obviously has not been open all season. We rented this campground site unseen based off some of these google reviews - you must pay in advance via check. Once we got there and saw the place, we immediately asked for our money back via email since the office was closed at 3 pm in the afternoon. I was told no, he would be keeping our money. We went down the street and came across a Marina & Cafe that had a campground. Very nice, very clean, very friendly people. Skip Made in the Shade- youll thank us later.

We absolutely loved this small and casual campground and ended up extending our stay! The new owner, Mr. V is very helpful and always available, takes great care of the camp and his residents, and offers helpful advice on what to do in the area. Theres easy access to the river and lake where you can kayak and fish. Granville is a tiny town with a lots of history and its Main Street is two blocks away. The entire area is beautiful and peaceful. I highly recommend this lovely place.

Absolutely horrible. This place is a dump. 15 sites are being lived on. Badicslly this place is attailer park. The pwner was rude to our kids. He said he hates children. We booked for 4 nights snd left as soon as we soke up to the pwner pounding on our door at 6 am

Quiet park, lake within walking distance.. The owner is an older nice man.. He stays on the property.. Large pool is open during, the summer months. Club House/ Laundry, Bath House is decent, clean.. The down side is the cell service is slim to none..
