The fog was very dense this morning. Saw several small toads at the woods edge. Spotted a hickory tussock moth caterpillar in the foggy wood as well. When sun came out later Monarch butterflies were in numbers along with a Giant Swallowtail Butterfly feeding on thistle flowers and goldenrod along with skippers and pretty yellow and orange sulfurs. Also saw a Turkey Vulture riding the thermals on this hot humid day. Great day for teaching school kids about the wonders of our natural world!

We have just discovered this Native American inspired nature park. It appears fairly new and very expansive. They have many things going one including a nature center with very nice and knowledgable staff, trails, horseback riding, archery, and those zip line things. We plan to visit often with the grandkids.

Interesting park to visit for walking, maybe riding a bike. Its a large park with trails and interesting views. Good for bird watching, exercise, native grass fields, etc. One small bathroom available at parking lot. Try it if your into nature and solitude.

Miles of trails through forests and prairie, and the opportunity to learn about the areas history in regards to native americans and early settlers. Diverse array of native wildflowers throughout the prairie and in the gardens near the learning center.

Nature center is very unique, theres plenty of parking, and the paths are well-maintained. They have archery and zip-lining, and a horse barn is supposed to be added.
