I had always dreamed of learning to Ball Room Dance. Being single I never had the courage to take lessons. I sent an email to the Essentia web site and recieved a response from Starlena within a day. I took my first lesson in March of 2015; after thirteen months I continue to take lessons and I love to dance. Not only have I learned to dance, I have meet some wonderful people. Starlena is a fabulous dance instructor and business woman. I am a professional woman who organizes and attends numerous social events yearly. Earlier this year I helped host an event and everything was done to perfection. The venue was spotless, tables and chairs were placed, linens were clean and pressed. Starlena and her Mother were both on hand to assist in any way possible to make sure everything was perfect . I have worked with many venues and my experience with Essentia gets 5 Stars. If you are looking for a beautiful venue, managed by a professional, detail oriented, honest person for your special event, do not hesitate to call Starlena at Essentia, you will not be disappointed !

In September, 2014, my husband and I were searching for a social dance instructor. As we did not want to take dance in our small hometown, we did a Google search and started calling. If I remember correctly, it was on a Friday afternoon when Starlina at Essentia Dance answered her phone. She listened to our objectives and invited us to come in the following day (Saturday) to get started. My husband and I were smitten from that day. Starlina is the consummate professional. She makes certain that you get what you signed up for. She offers FREE group practice on Tuesday and Thursday nights. Her studio is lovely. She has dances open to the public on Friday nights and everyone enjoys the music. Starlina is always up for dancing and always makes certain that everyone has the opportunity. We really only intended to take lessons until we became comfortable on the dance floor, but 1 1/2 years later, we are still driving the 100 mile roundtrip to her studio.

I love this venue. You feel so comfortable and welcome the moment you walk in the door. It is decorated with such elegance. You feel so special when dancing on the beautiful dance floor. The host is amazing. She loves to have fun and incorporate new activities at the different events. She loves to get everyone involved. My husband and I are not the most experienced dancers, but we have been treated as though we have been dancing for years. We love it! If you want to have a great night with great people, a beautiful setting, and a wonderful hostess, come visit Essentia. You will definitely be looking forward to the next event. Come dance like there is no tomorrow :)

We held our wedding ceremony and reception at Essentia in April and had around 150 guests. We were looking for an affordable venue with amenities, but couldnt find any we liked until we found Essentia. With the price, we also got dance lessons which were a BIG help for our 1st dance! Starlina was so helpful and professional before and during the wedding! She made the whole wedding planning process so much easier. Choosing this venue for my big day was the best decision I made. Essentia was absolutely perfect and I would recommend Essentia to ANYONE for ANY occasion. The staff is amazing, the atmosphere is wonderful, and the decor is breath-taking.

I would highly recommend Essentia Special Events if you are planning any type of special event. I booked the venue for my mothers 75th birthday party. The venue itself is simply elequant! Starlina, my event planner, was very professional and extremely patient. She was always available to assist me with any questions, concerns, and even recommendations for special requests (i.e. Photographer, bartender, caterer, etc.) ESSENTIA Special Events is truly a full service event venue!

ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL! My son and his wife recently had their Wedding ceremony and reception at Essentia. The venue was perfect and our guests kept talking about how beautiful the ballrooms are. The owner and staff were very kind and professional and made sure everything went smoothly. We were able to use the vendors we wanted and their sound system saved us money. The planning process was easy and they provided everything we needed. Highly recommended to everyone.

Whether it has been a reception, a party, or a public dance that I have attended at Essentia, I have always had a wonderful time. Starlina, the owner, is both gracious and professional. She is also the consummate dance teacher who can build confidence and proficiency in the most reluctant dancer! Her facility is tastefully decorated and has the best dance floor in Greenville.

i would highly recommend ESSENTIA Events if you are planning something special. We had our 50th Birthday celebration there and everyone really enjoyed it. We attended the Valentine Dinner and Dance and the catered food was delicious. The dance floor at Essentia is very well maintained and Starlina gave an intro dance lesson for beginners, encouraging all levels to join in. This is a beautiful venue with a variety of decor options. Highly recommend Essentia for group events.

We have been taking dance lessons here for three years, and I can tell you that this place is amazing. Starlina does an excellent job decorating for special events and she has an excellent eye for detail. She is constantly increasing the options for table decorations, tablecloth colors, and seating arrangements.

Ive attended several parties at this venue. The sound is great, the decorations are beautiful, and the space is great for dancing. On top of that, Starlina is a great dance teacher, and I always have a good time dancing at the parties held here.
