Just had a lovely and intimate wedding on the Carolina Girl boat. It was very nice but brides need to be aware about a few issues here. For starters, the walk to the vessel is a good 1/4 mile, when your elderly or in high heels this makes for a terrible way to start your event. It is VERY FAR to get to the boat and arrangements should have been made to transport guests from a small boat to the big boat. My elderly mother almost had a stroke making the trek to get on board. Secondly, if you ask Ashley for linens be prepared, we sat down to an exquisite table of gorgeous flowers and had $7.99 chinet from wallmart put in front of his with cheap quality plastic forks and knives to eat Filet Mignon with. I attempted to eat my steak broke two knives, my sis stabbed at hers and ate it like a lollipop. Linens are apparently only table linens, last I knew linens were linens, it was so incredibly tacky to see this when you know the parents of the bride would never find that acceptable. The staff was very nice but what I witnessed at the end of the evening was appalling. The crew wants you off the boat at 10pm. No problem with that, however we were whisked off like sheep, prior to this I overheard the mother of the bride expressing to the paid Wedding Planner Ashley that she needed to get her guests onto the waiting bus and would come back to gather her things after. Ashely told her, she would leave her items on the DOCK, which was totally unattended. To include wedding gifts, Money in cards, and all the things that needed to go back to the family and florist. Now where I come from when you do a job you do it and FINISH IT. I went to the hotel but the brides parents had to go back later only to find everything left there unattended with people walking around at 1:00 in the am. NO mother or Father of the bride should have to deal with that at the end of a exhausting wedding. Very unprofessional, furthermore, they said, "We have wheelbarrows for you to move your stuff" I dont know about you but that was horrible. Also note the salad had no salad dressing on it, and the Ravioli was like Chef Boyardee. If you are a bride with attention to detail this is something you need to consider. The boat is lovely and it should have been so much better. This is not an inexpensive venue so make sure to ensure all this is considered. All I can say is, Good Luck and Know what is in front of you. Happy Boating.

Carolina girl Wow! All I can say is wow! Our friends and family have sent me texts all week saying our wedding was the best wedding theyve ever been to, and a LARGE part of that is owed to the staff at the Carolina Girl. They were very detail oriented and made sure everything was just as we wanted and expected. I am an organized person, but Ashley helped me realize things that werent on Pinterest or any checklist. She went ABOVE AND BEYOND in every way possible from bustling my dress, to helping with decor to ensure my vision, to handling confrontations as they arose. It is not an exaggeration to say my wedding day wouldnt have been the same without her. Many family members chatted with captain TJ, and enjoyed learning about the yacht, and the bar staff was amazing making sure no one had to wait for their drinks. I fell in love with the venue when I saw it online, but the ambiance isnt even half of what they will contribute to make your day anything short of amazing!

THE BEST PART OF OUR WEDDING WEEKEND!!!!! I think this may have been everyones favorite part of our wedding weekend, the Welcome Cruise on The Carolina Girl Yacht! This was an absolute BLAST for everyone in attendance. The children, wedding party, parents, grandparents and everyone in between couldnt stop talking about the stellar service, fun environment, constant $ shots for the photographers and overall beauty of this cruise! Ashley Davis is the most responsive person that we worked with in our entire wedding experience so expect top notch service from this girl! Thank you to everyone on the Carolina Girl for making an unforgettable evening for our friends and family!

The Carolina Girl and its staff specifically Ashley D. went above and beyond all expectations that I had. Our wedding day was the most perfect day that could have been imagined. This day was carried out so smoothly with such professional and well trained staff. There were no snags or flaws to any part of the wedding or reception from start to finish. I would highly recommend this unique venue for anyone who is looking to have a fun, stress free, and most importantly one of a kind party! Fantastic venue!!! If you want a fun, unique wedding that your guests will love, book them now! The breeze, the beautiful view at sunset and the fact that youre on a yacht is reason enough. So many people are still telling me it was the best wedding they have ever been to. Captain Bob is personable and creates a fun, exciting atmosphere while Ashley (my in-house wedding planner and head events coordinator) made sure everything went flawlessly. She even bustled my dress!!! Who does that? :) Shes amazing! They truly went above and beyond and gave us the perfect day.

My wife and I went on the CG for the total eclipse and the captain and crew were outstanding. They were smart enough to alter their itinerary due to choppy and crowded conditions in the harbor area and went north on the intercostal to a calmer area. While conditions were between patchy and overcast, the captain navigated to areas of the intercostal so we would have the best view of the eclipse. Open bar and snacks were a treat and the entire crew wonderful.

We used The Carolina Girl for a work event last week and it was absolutely INCREDIBLE!! Not only are the amenities on the boat terrific, the crew is absolutely AMAZING. We had over 100 people aboard and everyone gave it awesome reviews. If you are looking for a boat experience in Charleston, The Carolina Girl is a must!

All i can say is that Captain Bob is a man of integrity which i believe is a trait that is sorely missed in todays world. I would suggest to anyone that needs to put their trust in someone to handle an event as we did with our daughters wedding, that Captain Bob and his staff are aces in my book.
