This place is amazing! I had attended a couple kids birthday parties there(which were great) and decided to buy an annual membership. Weve probably been there 2 dozen times this year already. You can spend a couple hours there or just drop in for 30 minutes on a rainy day. The kids never get tired of it. The collection of sea life is really amazing and the staff obviously has a love of education as well as the local environment. There are regular demonstrations and everything is very hands-on. My 2 year old loves it as much as my 6 year old. Id say its a great fit for any age. They also have a large section set up with crafts and other activities including an enclosed area for the younger kids. I cannot recommend this place enough. The regular pricing is reasonable and the membership is a steal!

Took my 7 and 10 year old kids. Lots more to pet (sharks, tortoise, hoseshoe crab etc) than other places. Really intersting displays. Starting at 1pm, they run a short demo on the half hour. We saw/learned about pufferfish off our shores. Gift shop has reasonable trinkets and books. There are picnic tables for kids to do activities. (7 year old took a break to build with Legos. )There is a small fenced in play area for real little kids to explore. 2 bathrooms are in the back. Cant touch the fish with lotion or Purell on hands. Recommendations: I wish the staff had let us know we could wash our hands, in the back near the bathrooms before we started. With lots of kids, the speaker could have used a mic. Some staff was friendly, others seemed disinterested. Really glad we went!

After having the impression that this was an aquarium, & pulling up to seeing it quite smaller than I imagined.. Im not gonna lie, I was a bit sceptical, but all that changed when I walked in the door. This is a great place to stop by and do something fun with the kids for an hour or two but still have the day. The whole place is super hands on and that alone sold me, my girls loved it. The staff is really friendly and well educated. They have a small section for kids to play in, & it seems as if they might have summer classes or something of the sort there. They also have a cute little gift shop area with decently priced little Nick nacks and handmade items. I will definitely be taking my family back.

Es un lugar excelente para llevar a los niños a conocer la vida en el océano y ademas les permiten tocar algunos animales de manera segura lo que les permite experimentar texturas y les ayuda a desarrollar la responsabilidad de cuidar la naturaleza.

The staff are all very nice, very knowledgeable and very passionate about what they do. You can feel they are enthusiastic about marine life and sharing that knowledge with their guests. The exhibits are all very interesting but the touch tanks really steal the show, especially if you have kids (even adult sized children). If you do have kids, make sure you bring an extra shirt, because they will be saturated by the time you leave.

this aquarium looks small from outside, but they have nice aquarium tanks with little sharks, sting rays, crustaceans all that you could touch. well organized and maintained. tons of varieties of different fish to see probably over 100 tanks at least. there are large turtles, striped bass, crab, sea robins and too many things to list here. fun place for kids and a little gift shop too. i like going here with my kids

This is a wonderful place! I went with my 18yr old and 2yr old and they both loved it. The little guy will enjoy it even more when he gets a little bigger. They have a great play area for smaller kids. I love that there are interactive displays where you can touch some of the sea creatures! This is a great place to teach your kids (and yourself) about our ecosystem and responsibility.

The folks over at Biomes know theyre stuff! I took my nephews after school and was blown away by the amounts of open tanks allowing for a true up front and personal experience with New Englands marine life. This place is a true Rhode Island gem, cant believe I havent heard of it before!

Our 20-month old loved looking at the marine life and playing in the play area (not so much the opportunity to touch creatures, of which there are plenty). She also enjoyed the numerous hands-on activities scattered throughout the complex. A solid bet for kids of all ages.

Excellent for birthday parties! Kids get 2 hours to exore and even touch and feed the marine life. Learn about local and tropical fish, the beaches of our state and the life in them, and even about some reptiles! Great for all ages, kid to teen to adult.

Its small and limited with small fish tanks that seem to small for their inhabitants. But the touch areas are fun for the kids and they try their best by holding demonstrations every thirty minutes. Its pricey for what it is.

Super cheap and if youre team instinct in Pokemon go you get $2 off admission. Staff was really friendly. There were plenty of touch tanks and lots to see. I will definitely be going back soon!

The perfect place for kids to spend a few hours. Spent a rainy vacation day here. Parking lot was nearly full, but inside it was still easy to view the exhibits and it wasnt too nutty.

It doesnt look like much from the outside, but it sure was a lot of fun. Our 8-year old and 5-year old absolutely loved it and didnt want to leave even after spending three hours.
