I just got back into the freshwater aquarium hobby and I was referred to this place by an employee of one of the big box pet stores because I was looking for a unique, less common fish that they rarely had in her store. I am grateful she did because Jays is great. They have everything you need, most of what you want, and TONS of fish selection. And true to her word, they had EVERY single species I had in mind to stock my new 29 gallon tank with. I didnt fully stock it right away but they had the more rare fish I wanted so I grabbed them. The woman that works there (didnt get her name) was stocking new fish from bags but was still very attentive and an encyclopedia of info. She helped determine my stocking threshold, compatibility, how quickly to add them, and in what order. The fish were a bit pricier than the big box places but not ridiculously so and the better selection, quality and health are worth the investment. If they suspect something is not healthy, they will mark NFS (not for sale) or turn down the sale (I witnessed this first hand). High integrity appreciated! Also, there are tons of food and decor choices. A bit off the beaten path but truly worth the ride if you are into aquaria. Just seeing the different species you have never seen before in your life is fun even if you dont buy anything.

The people that work at Jay and Jay himself are always more than helpful. On more than one occasion they have helped me solve problems with my saltwater tank. It was Jay himself who help me start my first tank. Yes, there are times like any place you may have to wait a minute or two for help when they have a ton of customers in the store, all wanting help at the same time. But the wait is more than worth it because when it is your turn you have 100% of their attention and they go overboard to help you with everything. Let me say this this is the place to go for all your saltwater and fresh fish need because they care about your tanks, and you as an individual.

this store is wonderful, with great staff, family and friend owned and operated i believe, they have a very large selection of fish, inverts and especially coral, TONS of coral, as well as supplies and dry goods, the staff here are very helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly. They have everything you need to maintain a healthy and beautiful aquarium.

Had a great collection of freshwater fishes and also an amazing collection of marine water fishes/invertebrates. Prices were comparable to the big pet shops like Petsmart/Petco etc. The only complaint I have is, I got X-ray tetras whereas I was told they were lemon tetras.

I go there all the time it is the best fish store you will go to there is about to be a koi pond cheap live rock live sand and corals and fish you should definitely go there if your into aquaria
