Really nice, well maintained course... but the service can be pretty unhelpful depending on who you get. The guy at the pro shop, PJ, seemed like he was above working there and dealing with customers. I went to play today bc I purchased a tee time on golfnow, but when I was warming up near the 1st tee box it started to rain, so I went into the pro shop and asked him if he was able to track the weather on his computer. He then just told me that its not going to rain... I was kind of caught off guard and didnt really know how to respond to that since it was clearly raining. After a short confused pause, I said, "...oh, its actully just started raining a bit now." And then he said, "yeah, thats a mistake... I checked the weather already and its not gonna rain. Any rain that we get is a pop up." I really didnt know what to say to that, but it was clear that this guy did not want to be bothered so I just said thanks and left. Anyways, it continued to rain on-and-off and after a while I decided to head back to the pro shop bc I wasnt gonna be able to continue bc my back started freezing up in the rain (I slipped and almost fell on a steep, slick hill). When I asked if I could get a rain check, the same guy clearly did not want to help me, and he said that I had to call golfnow. I asked him (very nicely btw) if he couldnt print me a rain check anyways bc the last time I purchased on golfnow and it started raining Five Ponds gave me a rain check for the unplayed holes and wondered if he couldnt just do the same again. He then condescendingly told me that the last guy was wrong to do so and that Id have to call golfnow... when I started to look for the number for golfnow, he quickly said that theyre not going to do anything for me and that I should have read the fine print on golfnows website... then he left the pro shop unattended for a while while I called. The story goes on from there, but ultimately golfnow credited my account for the unplayed holes, even though he talked to them and was trying to get them not too. Ugh! so not only was the pro shop guy not helpful, but he was actually spiteful that I called golfnow! Anyways, so golfnow was really helpful (thanks golfnow!!) and even seemed kind of annoyed at the pro shop guy, but the help at Five Ponds can be hit or miss ~ which is a shame because it really is a nice course. =)

Nice layout and the course is usually in pretty good shape. Easily the best maintained public course in the area. However, the help can be ignorant at times. Cranky old starters and marshals, rude or dismissive people in the pro shop and some of the regulars can be rude too. In both cases, a country club feel on a public course.

the best public course I have played, hands down. rivals private clubs for condition. course has good variety. I hear its very busy (only played there in high school, never on my own). If you play bad, you hit all five ponds!

The course should have flags for handicapped golfer. Recently holes 1 thru 5 were cart path .only. I requested a flag and was informed the course does not have flags for handicapped golfer. Please change your poloicy

Course had a few difficult holes and the best public course greens around. If you havent played here yet do yourself a favor and play. Staff is very friendly as well!

The course is a challenge but very well maintained and mostly open. I had a great time playing there overall and was very pleased with 5 ponds. I highly recommend it

COurse was in great shape after a mild winter, and its always easy to get on and play under 2 hours. Highly recommend this course for all golfers.

Played beautifully. Greens were fast and true. Fairways were well manicured and lush. Amazing difference from five years ago.

Used to be a five with value and conditions. Conditions have really gone down sadly and prices have gone up. Still well laid out
