I stopped here on my way to the Kinzua skywalk bridge 09/13/2014. I like trying out new wineries. It has a gift shop, which was very nice, some of their wines were really sweet; which I love. Wine tasting was available, but I knew what I came for. They are know around the Allegheny region for their Big Foot Shadows. If you like sweet wines, then you would love Big Foot Shadows and like this place. The prices were reasonable and the staff was very knowledgably and helpful with other selections my group made that day. They do have shipping available and I took advantage of their gift wrapping on two of the bottles I purchased. The staff went above and beyond to accommodate us; I would definitely recommend this place to anyone. They got a quality product and an amazing staff.

Stopped in on a Saturday afternoon with my wife. We sampled several wines based on the suggestion of the lady working the counter. Each wine tasted delicious. With a rather large selection of wines we were pleasantly surprised at the assortment of 187 mL bottles. These bottles were available individually or as a build your own four pack. At a winery where they pour 15+ varietals and blends having the option to purchase a small sampler pack is ideal. The 4 star rating is the result of their labeling. Each bottle has a cute name that corresponds to the local attractions. However the label doesnt tell you the varietal or blend. There was a printed wine list that we only discovered after we had walked the store once trying to decide what to sample.

The 2 girls working here only know how to pour samples and ring sales. They seem to have zero knowledge of wine. When asked about where a certain wine rated on the sugar code and what scale they used, one of the girls gave a very smartass answer of, "Well, Ive worked here 8 years and never had anyone ask me that. The winemaker knows all that." There will be no repeat business from me. I can only assume that all of the high reviews came from either family or the incredibly easily pleased."

We are from Indiana - and wanted to stop on our way home from Massachusetts. We called twice to see if they were open (which was recommended) no answer and not a call back. VERY disappointed... I have enjoyed their wine in the past and would have bought TWO cases. Guess business is not needed. Oh well plenty of other winereries.

Staff was rude at the Franklin wine walk. I was going around to all the wineries with my friends and tasting together. But at Allegheny I was past by twice as the lady poured for my friends. I asked if I could taste too, she replied in an annoyed manner "I dont know what you want".

We were introduced to the Allegheny Wine cellers this spring at the Luthersburg Wine on the hill event. They were our favorite vendor there. Not a bad bottle in the lot. We left with at least 6 bottles from their winery.
