This is THE WORST COURSE in the world. First off, the layout shold all be pars threes because its so easy. Also, the green is like the rough and the rough is a jungle because the course is a dump and not well maintained. The carts are probably the worst things ive ever sat in my entire life. The whole cart would move and steer itself due to not doing any maintenance most likely ever. They also charged about double of what they should have. Many nice courses in the area charge less than that. Total waste of money. If you are looking for a smooth ride on the cart path this is not the course for you. Half of the time the path just ends and you have nowhere to go. The people who golf there are also very mean they yell at you because you want to play through them because they take very, very, very long time to hit and move along. They were hitting their drivers when not needed. For example, they were using it on the first hole which is roughly 75 yards and couldnt hit it more than 30 yards. There is a railroad that goes straight through the course. When my friends and i were swinging, all of the sudden a train comes through and is blowing its horn the whole way across. Terrible location, it is also right behind a storage unit so you cannot see from the main road. I think it was hidden on purpose because the owners did not want people to see how bad their course was. The pro shop looks like a yard sale, besides the pricing. The prices are about as high as the Snoop Dogg. The quality of the products are like a childrens set of plastic clubs at babies r us. Also, a ball hit my cart from the driving because it is all so close together. But it didnt matter anyways because the carts look like theyre straight out of a junkyard. Anyways I was still nervous that another one may hit me. I kind of wish it did so I could so sue this dump. I wouldnt get any money anyways because the course is worth less than my shed. And worst of all, the employees and owner were such a..s holes to my group. One of the carts had mud on it because in the middle of the cart path, there is a huge puddle that the driver accidentally hit because they dont maintain the course one bit. And on the other cart there was a tiny scratch and they accused us of wrecking the carts because there were a few marks on the cart. But it didnt matter that the cart was from 1960 and was completely beat up. If you take one thing away from this review it is I AM NEVER COMING BACK TO THIS COURSE, IT IS A DUMP, AND IT WAS THE WORST GOLFING EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD IN MY 40 YEARS OF GOLFING. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY HERE AT THIS JUNKYARD.

You dont come here because its a prestigious course. You come here if youre a weekend hacker looking to roll up in shorts and a tee shirt, drink some adult beverages, and have a good time with some buddies without paying an arm and a leg. Is the occasional sand bunker actually going to be mud? Yes. Is there a chance youre going to have a train pass through for a few minutes? Yes. Quick summary of holes: #1: short par 3, green below you. Easy start. #2: short par 5, creek on your right and trees on your left. If youre good, an easy birdie opportunity. Should really be played as a challenging par 4. #3: par 4, hard dog left left. Tee box is in front of water. It will be tempting to circumvent the dog leg and sky one up towards the green #4: cross the train tracks and look upwards at a green way above above you. Big hitters can get it close and allow a chip to get close the hole. Very challenging green with many undulations. #5: tee box up high above water, with trees beyond it. Hard dog leg Left. You can play smart and hit the fairway, or you can go wild and blast it towards the trees and hope to get lucky. If you do, you have a chip shot to the green and a birdie chance #6: cross back over the tracks for a short, tough par 4: tracks/woods on your left, trees on your right. Better hit it straight #7: hard hole. Par 5 that curves left then right. Creek on your left, high grass right. #8: short par 3 over water #9: bring it home with tracks on your right and grasses/water on your left. Tip: if you spray your driver, better off hitting something short and straight off the tee

What is wrong with you reviewers. I cant speak for the reviews from years ago, but today, the course was a wonderful experience. I traveled from Florida and played 2 rounds here. The course is absolute beautiful. The scenery. The creek. The greens are near perfect. The course is a little short, but also very challenging. Rude workers? Are you joking? I was welcomed with open arms. When the man at the desk found out I was from out of town, he sat down with me and went over every hole and offered some advice. Ugly? Its beautiful. Yes there are storage units. Not in view from any hole that I can remember. Yes there is a single train track, which actually adds some charm. Symbol of old Pittsburgh. Driving down the tracks was fun. Never did I actually see or hear a train. This was the most fun and beautiful executive course that I ever played, and remember, I am from Florida and golf once to three times a week. What is wrong with these snobby posters? The price, $24 for 9 with a cart. OK, maybe a bit steep for Pittsburgh, but really? Where do you play so nice that is so much cheaper? How you seen golf prices around this country? This course is great. Thanks to the wonderful staff. - Rob - Melbourne FL

I stopped in by Frosty Valley to hit a bucket of balls but it started to rain. I decided to chip a few on the practice green to see if the rain was going to let up. A guy came out of the pro shop, 1 of the pros?? and asked me what I was doing and if I was a golfer and if I knew him which was all very strange. I asked him if he wanted me to leave and he continued on about I should ask his permission to chip and putt on the practice green. I responded I would leave. I tried to explain a few times that I was waiting for the rain to let up before buying a bucket of balls but he rudely cut me off several times. Ive been going to this course for about 5 years and have never been treated so poorly. My question is, are they trying to increase business with this behavoir? There was absolutely no one on the course or practice green and I wasnt doing anything out of the ordinary. Its a shame there are individuals out there and cant treat others with respect especially those in the service industry.

Got back into golf in 2016 after a 15 year layoff. Have played many public courses in the area. Frosty Valley is better than all of them. It is in great shape. Nice fairways...very nice greens...all bunkers maintained. The layout is challenging, requiring you to control your ball. Would definitely recommend this course for anyone looking for a challenging 9 hole layout that is in great condition
