This looks like a beautiful place to attend and study art. PAFA has great recommendations from the Tri-State area where I live. My family and I attended an open house and fell in love with the professors and students. We were able to speak one on one with the 4year students and obtained a lot of info about the college. What amazed me more than anything was the fact that there were no cons about the school. It was honest information poured into our ears. We were able to see the results of many artists at their best. The professors and students are all extremely gifted. The art work was phenomenal. My daughter who also has a Good given gift and patients for art is looking to attend this college. I pray that she will be excepted in. Dr. H

Free admission on President’s Day, the day we visited. This art museum is spacious, neatly laid out, and well-curated overall. The ‘World War I and American Art’ exhibition was of particular interest, showing the public response to the war and what life in the battlefield was like, especially for those who experienced it first-hand. Stayed for two hours, which was enough to see all exhibits on two floors.

What a great place! Gorgeous architecture inside and out. Plus paintings and sculptures! We enjoyed two very different exhibits. The Artists Garden centered on American Impressionism and the Garden Movement from 1887 - 1920. Some beautiful colors. Then we saw the Peter Blume exhibit - fascinating work. Just a nice place to spend the afternoon.

Lived in the Philly area my whole life, and just made it here recently. Its a beautiful building and the arts not too bad either! One thing to be aware of, though. The building relies on a lot of natural light, which made a whole lot of art difficult to see because of glare without the sun. Just be aware and try and visit on a sunny day.

My kids (4-7 years old) loved the upstairs portion where they can touch the animals. Overall it is fun and they have all sorts of events and shows. My only thing is that you should bring your own lunch. Most of their hot food is simply awful, espeically for the price. Pre-made sandwiches and salads are okay but still not worth it.

The jewel of Philadelphia art museums, a historical architectural landmark, and a walk through the history of American art, PAFA Is not as well-known or visited as it should be. It is always a joy to introduce friends to PAFA. A fabulous cafe for lunch or a snack and one of the best museum shops in the city.

Got into the gallery for free with some friends. Although there were a lot of great modern displays, this is not the place for someone looking for famous artworks or historical and world renowned art pieces. Still had some fascinating article pieces however.

This place is Fantastic. I believe it is a hidden "art paradise" in Philadelphia. It is relatively small but it really has great pieces of artwork. Please plan a visit and you wont be disappointed.

This is the school where Thomas Eakins took off the loin cloth off a male model (in front of male AND female students) to better explain the anatomy of the groin? FANTASTIC.

The relaxed atmosphere, the inspirational architecture by Frank Furness, the knowledgeable, friendly staff, cutting edge exhibits. Thomas Eakins basically returns to life.
