It was such a fun day for the adults and the kids! We booked the premium package (includes bus tour, Amish house tour and free reign of the farm). First we did the bus tour (which was our favorite part) where we got to explore the Amish countryside and visit two different stops (one was an actual Amish family home and the other was a roadside shop that sold Amish goods and the most delicious soft pretzels). Next we did the house tour. This was a very interesting chance to learn about how the Amish live day to day (may be a little long for smaller children as it just consists of standing from room to room for 40 minutes). Finally we got to explore the farm which includes scooter rides, lots of animal encounters, a corn maze, a picnic pavilion (feel free to bring your own lunch), a shop with a wood whittler who was such a nice guy, a $5 Amish buggy ride, a covered bridge and a gift shop. Our whole family had such a fun day where we also got to learn so much about the Amish. We highly recommend it!

This is a great place to take children and students to. Its educational and fun. The staff here is very nice. The gift shop has something for the family too. The restrooms are clean. I purchased some greeting cards and a bell to place on my front door. There is a Target and a Ceces Pizza as well as a mini shopping place across the street. Theres also a perfume store too. I really admire the cultural traditions on display at The Amish farm. If I were given the opportunity to choose one place to come off the road for a road trip this place would be it. I know that modern technology is not permissible amongst the Amish people. I wonder if the teenagers use Wi-Fi.. ?. I did notice in the gift shop I was able to use a credit card to pay for my purchase. Lol.. So yes thats modern... I digress... Lol.. Overall a good stop on the road. You wont be disappointed.

The Amish Farm & House is open 7 days a week. Tours run for 45 minutes each hour and tickets are $9.25 per person. If youre expecting to see an actual farm, you might want to pick a different place. This is more of a museum. A museum thats located right next to a Target. But overall, the tour was pretty informative. Plus you can walk around and explore the grounds for as long as you want, after the tour. They have farm animals you can buy feed for, but thats about the closest to a farm as it is. They also have some scooters that Amish people use, you can try out. I was hoping to ride in a buggy, like I read about for other attractions but they didnt have that here. This was also the only place that was open on Sundays, which is why we settled for the Amish Farm & House.

Fantastic experience! Staff was amazingly accomodating and knowledgeable from the time I called to get information until the time we left after about 3 hours of educational fun. The farm is landscaped beautifully and the barn and stalls are kept very clean. We were even offered to have a German guide to go along on our bus tour because our friends from Germany were visiting. Dont let the location ( text to Target) influence your decision to visit in any way. Totally authentic, doesnt feel touristy at all!

We took the farms self guided tour and the bus tour through Amish country in Lancaster. ( you can also tour the house for an additional fee) It was interesting to see the Amish in there everyday lives during the bus tour. On the tour, we stopped at Bird and Hand bake shop. The farm is small but full of things to see, simple but interesting. There is a one room school house in the back, animals, and a covered bridge. Dont pass this by, this stop was a real treat!

very interacting interesting amish experience. guides knew so much about the amish culture and there was tons of actual amish ppl working there also. the bus tour was amazing we saw so many amish farms in actions as well as we stopped at several amish shops that had yummy treats. We preferred this to Amish village. Only downside is this is right next to a target so scenery isnt that great. Amish village definitely has them beat when it comes to the farm portion.

BEWARE … this tourist attraction (trap) is located in TARGET’s parking lot. Very few animals and no staff on hand to guide you through the so called 15 acres of farmland. My husband and children (3 & 6) were very disappointed. The video that is on the website is very deceiving where it appears that you are in the countryside, but in reality you are in the middle of a large modern shopping district. We didn’t waste our money on the bus trip or house tour.

DO NOT take children on the house tour! We were so excited to see the Amish house tour and my three year old asked "whats that?" and people on the tour were very rude shushing him and the tour guide seemed very iterated that he was being interrupted. Long story story we ended up walking out because we felt very uncomfortable. If youre youre going to take your kids there just save yourself the trouble and just do the farm tour.

Very fun and interesting historical landmark! Loved learning about the Amish, their history, and the way they live today. We didnt get much out of the farm because of rain, but from what we saw it was great! The blacksmith was interesting. The only thing I will say I didnt like was there were a lot of the guests in the tour who were disruptive and talkative. Other than that, I really enjoyed the experience!
