My visit was from March 2nd to March 4th. When i came into the hotel room, I looked around the room like always. The room was neat and clean beside the fact, there was a half empty water bottle on the desk, but when I accidentally dropped my phone on the floor, I have touched a piece of candy where it pictured to be a hard as a rock with mold building up on a piece of eatened twizzler, with cobwebs. First night was great. Great room service for the first night there. Mind the fact that the little ketchups were a cute. Second night? Worse day ever especially spending half of a thousand dollars to two nights. First, housekeeping avoided my privacy while I was taking a shower, when Ive yelled to wait for five minutes so I could finish up in the shower, and be fully dressed. The woman and guy have apologized about the misconvience but didnt seem like they have cared about anything that was happening then, I was asked if they could come back and I have agreed to do so. Third, the housekeeping never came back to make my bed, bring new bedding, towels, or emptied my trash. So I had to bring everything outside of my room and made the hallway look unappealing and the housekeepers didnt look not seemed like they cared. A woman took the womans shift as they were changing shifts. I told the other one that I never got anything cleaned. And was told she was going to work on it when I leave. I left three times for two hours each so they could take care of the dirty room. The girl never cleaned up the room. So I had to interupt their conversation that was right next to my room, which they were in there for a good three hours that I needed my room done. They didnt clean anything. I was I only given clean towels, no wash cloths, clean sheets, and emptied trash cans but no trash bags. That same day, I had the same room service guy but not from the night before. He was being unprofessional and was out of order. He was looking at my chest area for a good period of time while asking me where to put the food at. My friend Luis and I were being kind about it, but also enforced that if he was going to be coming up with my food or his food and does the same thing again, I would have no choice But to report you for sexual harassment and avoiding a paying guests privacy. He done it again. So Ive reported him not to ONLY front desk, but to the corporate. Food was fast and cooked great, but the quality of the fries couldve improved. Couldnt really eat much, because the food was so good. 9 out of 10. HouseKeeping: 2 out 10. Reason listed above. Room Service: 10/10 first night. 0/10 second night. Listed above. Maintenance: 10/10. Great help when needed gel connecting my PS4 to the wireless internet. Front Desk: 10/10. Was professional all the way. Customer Service: 10/10. Great with my reservations. 1/5 stars due to poor staffing environment. Ps: I didnt pay in what Ive deserved basically. I was also informed by a guy named Rich/Rock that I was to talk to an executive after 11am but never was given a call from a man named Phillip and the other person whom I wasnt supposed to be talking to, was taking care of everything.

My wife and I spent one night at the Hilton in downtown Harrisburg. The location couldn’t be better for exploring the sites of downtown. Easy walking distance to the Pennsylvania State Museum and right outside the front door is 2nd Street which has many bars and restaurants. You’re also a very short walk to the Susquehanna river. Harrisburg is fairly small so if you need to be in mid-town, it’s really just a 5-10 minute walk…so the hotel is ideally suited for doing anything within the greater downtown area. It’s nice too. Yummy fruit infused water available all day and night in the lobby with a nice restaurant and bar with upscale eating options for all meals. We weren’t greeted at the front desk as Hilton HHonors members…that’s not perse a fault of the hotel but as Silver members we typically are at Hilton locations and that comes along with certain benefits which we’re not sure we received as it wasn’t clear they know we were part of the ‘family.’ We stayed in a junior suite on the 14th floor. When checking in we were told there was roof-work going on until 7pm, so if that bothered us, we should let them place us on a lower floor. That wasn’t a problem for us as we were going to head out fairly soon and not be back until after 7. What they didn’t tell us is that the work on the roof would resume the next morning…that was a problem as we were on a one night vacation and would have loved to have slept in. The banging and machinery just one floor above us didn’t let us do that which was a bummer. The junior suite itself was great. Very spacious with a hallway between the living area and the bed room. Also the bathroom was accessed via the hall and not through the bedroom which is particularly helpful when you’re traveling with a child (or anyone else) who would be staying in the living area, so they don’t have to come through the bedroom while you’re sleeping if they need to use the bathroom. (Not all hotel suites are arranged like that…glad this one was, even though it was just the 2 of us this time.) We had a good view of the Susquehanna river too, although there’s a large building between the Hilton and the river so you can only see parts of it to the left and right of that building. Our floor also gave us access to the Executive Lounge which had complimentary breakfast, beverages, evening hors d’ouvres and later night dessert available. (Wine and beer too but for a cost.) The fitness center also had everything we needed, was open 24 hours, and was right next to the pool which we didn’t actually use. If we found ourselves in Harrisburg again, we would definitely stay here, though we’d be more proactive in asking questions about noise from any ongoing work, and would hope we got our complimentary water bottles as HHonors members.

I typically always stay with Hilton when I travel if I can because they deliver a very consistent experience and quality. This one was a little off of the normal. But Ill start with one thing: There was a political rally in town and it appeared that some of the entourage was staying in the hotel so maybe that caused some of the issues due to security or something. I have no idea. It started off poor due to the design of the parking. I couldnt even get into the alley to access the self parking garage. I looped around the block 3 times, each time there were cars randomly stopped in the alley by the valets blocking the access to the garage. So finally I just let them valet the car which dinged me $24 I didnt need to pay. Once inside the check in process was quick but grouchy. I dont think the desk clerk said 2 words to me the entire time, and when he made my keys he just laid them on the counter and walked off. It was odd, especially for a Hilton. I mean, I know the room number is inside of the envelope but that was a fairly rude interaction. The room was clean and neat, the bed was comfortable. The window was very dirty and had way more spiders on it than I would prefer. I paid for the "high floor river view" upgrade, which I suppose I did technically get....but i was not aware that the hotel is one of the lowest buildings around, so a high floor really just gets you a more direct view right into the side of all of the other, taller buildings and the river was a narrow sliver over beyond the other buildings. There was more noise than Id like due to the people across the hall going in and out of their room about 5,907 times between 12 and 2 am, but thats not the hotels fault. Overall not a typical Hilton level experience, but the room itself was clean and neat and overall thats the most important thing.
