Bolger Center is a bit of a contradiction: small minimalist rooms in a country-club campus. This facility is considered more of a training center than a deluxe hotel, and the accommodations reflect that attitude. Staff are very helpful, the restaurants are good but not gourmet, and the free parking and in-room wifi are plusses. A minus is that all the rooms in a building have common A/C and heating, which transitions several times a year. This means if theres a heat wave in the fall, you may not have air conditioning, or if theres a cold snap in the summer there wont be heat. Your room will be quite small if in outlying buildings or slightly larger in the main building, but the assumption is that guests wont be spending their time lounging inside much. Beautiful walking trails, extensive exercise facilities and an indoor pool are perks for physically active guests. 15 minutes to metro and 10 to major shopping areas in North and South Bethesda. Recommended for thrifty travelers who know what they want to do in the area.

My son and daugher-in-law married at the Bolger Center on Memorial Day weekend. Between the time they booked the Bolger Center and the day of the wedding, there was a management change. Leading up to the wedding things were handled with ease and every request received prompt follow through. On the day of the event, everything was perfect. The staff bent over backwards for us.. . everything from getting hair gel for one of the groomsmen, to making sure everyone had enough cold water to drink, to getting extra mirrors in the brides room. Security vehicles were provided for the elderly who couldnt walk between buildings. Every single detail, down to the most minute, was handled efficiently and professionally. The food was delicious, the service superb and the staff was friendly and respectful. I recommend the Bolger Center without reservation.

Fair warning that this is a review from a stay several years ago. My stay at this hotel ended up being one of the worst Ive ever experienced. They decided this particular week would be the best to completely shut down the air conditioning system for cleaning. It ended up being in the high 80s outside. It was so ungodly hot and stuffy in the room that I couldnt sleep. They had to bring me a fan to help simply move air around. The only food available was at some sort of bar on-site and it was barely edible. The front desk did nothing for me until I demanded they reimburse me for several of my nights there. I would never step foot here again. Maybe things have changed in the past several years, but I wouldnt risk it.

The food in the Osgood building dining hall was amazing. Great selection of food, drinks and desserts. The staff was awesome throughout the whole campus. Housekeeping went above and beyond to help out. The Pony bar in the main building was a fun place to play (for free) shuffleboard, billiards, ping pong and darts. The food there, however, was not very good. The food in the nourishment hubs was really good, too. The running trail around the campus is beautiful. There is also a tennis court and basketball hoop to shoot on. The pool in the Franklin building was a nice four lane pool with large locker rooms. Great place to stay!

Was here for a conference in the spring. It was beautiful even without a full green. The grounds were very well kept with a nice 1.3 mile trail and amenities. Not much cardiovascular equipment in the gym, but otherwise fully functional with a nice pool. Rooms were utilitarian and small, but clean perfectly functional. The available conference rooms were adequate and reasonable. The dining facility was quite good with a large variety. The pony express was reasonably priced and decent option. Its close enough that a quick drive is amenable, but still feels "away" . Ill be excited to come back.

What a lovely place. We very much enjoyed our accommodations, the grounds, and the wedding venues. Pluses were the comfort of the room, the beauty, friendly housekeeping and event staff, and the ammenities such as the pool. Room for improvement would be the knowledge/helpfulness of booking staff, price point of on site dining (after viewing the menus online, we chose to bring food from home and order food in), but we do have 3 kids, so we might be looking for something different than the average guest.

The food that was served to us was awful, the chicken tenders were dry as were the French fries, the Mac and cheese looked and tasted like something they feed prisoners and they only offered one cup of Sprite. These things werent even the worse event though, that would be the fact that they stopped serving water in a 80+degree room and when we went to go get water from the fountain, as they stopped serving is water, they would block is from getting any water at all.

Eh, it works for what it is. A wedding and conference factory. But its really hard to navigate around the various buildings and areas - very poor signage. That being said, it did make my friends wedding a very easy event. Having the ceremony, reception, and after party all in one place was really convenient. A lot of our friends also stayed in the hotel portion so they didnt even have to drive home at the end of the night.

This conference centre is just outside of downtown Washington DC. Clean, well maintained rooms, strong wifi, and friendly staff. Catering is generous and there is a pool and gym on site. It is well off the beaten track though, if you need more than a bottle of water its a half hour walk to the nearest shops. There is a pub on site with a good selection of drinks/beer and great patio (but pricey)

I booked on expedia, and when I got there, they upgraded me to a suite (which was huge) and offered a free breakfast! The Bolger Ctr is a conference center that is apparently owned by the post office and used for government training. I guess they rent out unused rooms. It is an older facility, but clean and spacious and on a huge beautiful property in a wealthy area. I would stay there again!

Rooms were small, no fridge or microwave. With that being said, those things were unnecessary. Breakfast, lunch and dinner were phenomenal. Buffet style with 4 star quality food. Large dessert bar for all meals. Conference rooms were well equipped. Break rooms were always stocked with quality snacks and appetizers. All facilities and grounds were very well kept. Very kind and courteous staff.

We absolutely love the Bolger Center. The rooms are clean. The pool and the gym are family friendly. The staff are wonderful. There is a trail in the back for walking or running. My only quip is there is no spa. Its nestled away from D.C. So, there is no loud traffic or honking. Its like a mix between a bed and breakfast and a hotel.

I enjoyed my experience as a guest at the William F. Boger center. The room was large and spacious, with a separate room with a couch and desk area, in addition to the bedroom. The environmenr where the center is located is also very peaceful, with lush greenery and plenty of patio chairs to relax after a days work.

The Bolger Center room was very nice. The only drawback was they were in the process of switching from cooling to heating, so no heat. However they did offer and provided extra blankets and a space heater. The staff was very friendly and professional. The food at the Pony Express was good and tasty.
