The tour was informative and the staff was friendly. The double decker bus was old and quite beat up. The seats were so small up top that your knees hit the seat in front of you...not comfortable for a two hour bus ride, and were relatively small built people. Also, the man named "Jackie" who works for the company and rode our bus decided to hang out in the womens bathroom, yup, womens bathroom, while our two daughters were in the there (unbenounced to us). Then, when I went in after they came out, he and I met eye to eye at the sink. His long hair and pink lipstick did not camouflage the fact that he was a man. When we made eye contact, he decided to go back into another stall and literally just stand in there while more women and young girls proceeded in and out of the bathroom. He never used the toilet, just literally stood in there the whole time until right up to the point when he needed to board the bus for our tour. It was very disturbing. Quite frankly, it ruined the whole tour for me and my husband, who was NOT happy to find out that a man was in the bathroom with our girls. Our children had a lot of questions on the way home after the tour, unfortunately, not about Gettysburg, but rather about the man with pink lipstick and long hair on our bus. Parents, women, and girls...please be careful.

Dont take this tour company if you are from the South. They dont take you to see the monuments on the Confederate side or even drive over the portion of the battlefield that was occupied by General Lee and troops from the South. We were quietly given a map by the bus driver showing the location of the South Carolina monument and were told we could come back on our own later and find it. When we later asked the National Military Park personnel about it, they were shocked that the confederate side was not part of the tour provided by Gettysburg Tour Center. They assured us that the tour they (National Military Park Museum and Visitor Center) provide does include both sides of the battlefield. I highly recommend anyone going to Gettysburg and touring the battlefield to go to the National Military Park Museum and Visitor Center to get a true tour of the battleground. I didnt want to rate this company at all but couldnt write a review without rating it so I gave it the lowest rating, deservably so.

WE HAD THE GUIDED TOUR....NOT THE AUDIO TOUR....the guide was funny and knowledgeable...the speaker system on the bus was pretty bad...but you can still hear 99% accurately. The fact is that the Gettysburg site is huge...it is impossible to see everything so they give you an overview of the battle. The tour was 2 hours long and even though he explained the battle there was still much much more to see. The reviewer from the south is upset he lost the war, I would guess, because there was no bias. The guide explained many times how the south had few monuments there because they lost and the north didnt want monuments to a group who started a war with them and killed so many of their sons...He also told how they almost won and what the south did correct and what they did wrong. What more do you want? I enjoyed the tour as did my wife who isnt into history. I would recommend it.

Took the air condition bus tour. Our guide Charlie did a great job. His stories were both informative and amusing and kept you interested through out the two hour tour. He was also very friendly and willing to answer all questions. Our driver, also Charlie, but a different Charlie gave us a smooth ride. My only complaint was the tight fit to the bus seats, but it wasnt that bad since we were able to get off the bus three times over the two hours.

Strongly disagree with other reviews. Just took this tour with Dave the tour guide and Frank the driver. Short of the rude guy in the back of the bus on his cell phone, this 2 hour bus tour was COMPLETELY worth the money. The tour guide even found out a couple people were from Alabama and made it a point to identify specific points of interest for them. Strongly recommend this tour to everyone!

Waste of money. The tour guide was awfully full of himself and terrible at describing the battle and what we were seeing. The whole time peoples heads were whipping around trying to figure out what he was talking about. A lot of random facts about insignificant stones and statues that really no one cares about. Nice to go through most of the battlefield though so thats a plus.

First time I took the double decker tour I was 8 and it accompanied a civil war soundtrack. There was no tour guide at the time but it was still good. Today I took the tour and was very impressed still the same bus from 30 yrs ago. Very informative and lots of fun. I highly recommend the tour to all ages.

This tour of Gettysburg was great. We started the day here and it gave us good bearings to work from so we could take our own tour after to see the sites we found most interesting up close. I highly recommend this. Plus, afterwards we did a ghost tour of the orphanage across the street. It was creepy :)

Wonderful way to get a better understanding of the Battle of Gettysburg. The upper deck is great for fresh air & sun-seekers and provides an even better view! The cost is a bit steep, but when you consider the gas money you will save and the frustration you can avoid, its worth it!

Our family worked with Maureen Follmer to create a personalized tour package. She and the amazing team at Gettysburg Battle Tours did a fantastic job. Our guide, Jack D., was fabulous - very knowledgable, interesting, engaging, & personable. What a class outfit!

A big THANKS for the staff that were helpful and understanding. We couldnt make it for the day we had bought on-line tickets and the staff allowed us to change to another date without losing our pre-paid tickets. We enjoyed the bus ride and the information.

Very hectic and filled with school children. The gift shop is also very expensive, but hopefully goes to a good cause. I didnt get to enjoy the displays much because of the crowds, but it was clean, new and had nice bathrooms.

We just stopped here to kill some time. It has a nice little gift shop here. You can take a Gettysburg Tour here. A double decker Tour bus. Pretty cool though we havent done that yet but we plan to.

Great place to start your tour of the battlefield. Ample parking and while a guided tour is a bit on the pricy side at $30 a head, it is worth the money. Center has a gift shop and rest rooms.
