My daughter and I took two of my granddaughters and my grandson, ranging in ages 9 to 12, on the VIP tour this past Thursday from 3 to 5 PM. Our guide, De Anna, was a consummate professional. Each of those we met in the Amish community spoke with us so kindly and what they shared was vitally interesting. The highlight of the experience for my daughter and me was a full hour in an Amish home and a candid conversation with the wife and husband who graciously hosted us, as several of the 7 children wandered in and out. Three-year-old Miriam stole everyones heart, and one of the sons, age 10, realizing there was sun in my eyes pulled the shade. The discussion during this hour, led by our guide who has lived among the Amish all of her life, was both moving and spellbinding. One of the things obvious was a statement made by our host: She said, "People think we are so different, but we are families like everyone else," which is so beautifully true. My grandson loved the cow milking the best, and our youngest granddaughter loved the little kittens scurrying for their milk. The quilt shop on this property and the lovely garden, with plantings in shoes, are not to be missed. My older granddaughter said she would always remember this experience, as will we all. Grateful thank yous to our guide and all of those welcomed us so cordially.

Had such a great time here! Came here on 7/12 and took the guided tour of an Amish home and it was very informative and interesting...love the Amish! We also took the buggy ride tour and that was unforgettable...wish I could remember our guides name...tall young man...he did a great job on our tour. Stopped by a real Amish farm and got some homemade lemonade, root beer, cookies and pretzels...all tasty...and even bought a genuine horseshoe decorated by Amish children. Cant wait for my next trip and my next buggy ride with the family...we love you folks!

Had a great time. Linda, our guide for the Farmlands and Homestead & School tour, was kind, informed and helpful. I loved the fact that everything was all in one place. The meal at Plain & Fancy was filling and not overpriced and the Buggy ride (with Gideon) was a nice way to finish the trip. I do wish the operations manager, Shannon, was nicer . We parked in the wrong lot and had to walk a bit to get to the box office which made us late for our tour. Her lack of understanding and sharp tone were unnecessary and unprofessional. Otherwise, lots of fun!

I went with my family, I like it a lot and Bill our tour man was awesome. The tour was really good but we were hoping to spend more time with the Amish people, know better they way they live and think, their values. We never got the chance for a buggies ride and we were really hoping for it. They also told us we should get something to eat before getting their place because there were no places to eat BUT there were plenty of places to get really good food that we didnt enjoy because we ate in Lancaster before heading to old Philadelphia pike.

Nice people but not Amish. The farm tour the guide knew very little about actual farms. When you pay this much you would like it to talk to the real people. As a family farm ourselves much of what was told was not correct. They need to bring some Amish or Mennonites in to do the tours who know what is actually going on. The theater experience of Jacobs choice was well done and informative. The buggy ride were driven by a Mennoite (grew up Amish) that knew what he was talking about and did a nice job.

Horrible experience the movie was so scary for my seven years old , all of it screaming and burning people and stupid scary ghost sound , we rode the puggy it was nice until one of the people with us requested to go back after five min so the guy took us back to drop her off and said we will continue our ride after and when we dropped her off he said I can not continue the ride Cz you will not see more than you saw before , it does not worse the money 150 for two adult and two children

The Amish Experience was truely a pleasant and rewarding one, due to two critical factors-our knowledgeable, friendly tour guide-Harriet and the Amish people visited. We made three stops: to view woodworking, an Amish family home and working dairy farm. At each site we engaged with caring, informative Amish members. It was well worth the investment and the tour bus was a cool, comfortable and clean means of transit.

The three visits to Amish homes/farms to see how they live and work, being able to ask them questions about their daily schedules and hearing their thoughts about life was great. Shandon was very knowledgeable about the Amish and did a professional job in leading discussions and answering all our questions. I recommend this experience to anyone interested in Amish culture.

This is the best way to change your point of view and break the stereotypes by learning about the Amish communitys way of life. We only got to meet the ones who actually opened up to the foreigners world and views, asking questions about plane rides and weather stations. We can imagine there must be many Amish who wouldnt be open to that exchange.

On Aug 30th my wife and I took a tour of the Amish Farms. Our driver was Jay W. It was the best tour we experienced. I had take a couple of tours before and this one was the best. The driver was excellent. Hector LeBlanc

I thought the tours were a bit pricey and better deals could be found. Realize that the tour of the school house is a replica, but they were forthcoming with that info. The people running the place were friendly.

Such sweet people and the home made candy was great too! Do not take photos, the Amish believe that will steal their soul.
