Not worth the money, plenty of other things to do in Portland. With how much hype on the internet there was about this place, I was expecting oddities (strange bones, weird science instruments, etc). The whole thing was the back room of a fairly small room. All the stuff was made, almost like an art exhibit, but the lamest art exhibit ever. A 1980s version of Ripleys Belive It or Not. Dont expect much and maybe youll be happy with it. The gift shop was more interesting than the exhibit.

Underwhelming is probably the right description that a previous reviewer had used. Its not the worst hour Ive ever spent (I really took my time....one could probably do it in half that time). But in hindsight, I think I could have probably skipped this as an attraction. I appreciate someone probably spent a of time putting together the curiosities, but it just didnt work for me.

Chill place has just enough free to encounter & interact with to keep a high rating, the shop part of the store is reminiscent of the magic shop in pee wees big adventure. Lots of werid, lots of strange & oddities galore. Pretty delicious novelty ice creams & other noms. plenty to help keep portland werid. a truly peculiar place indeed earns its name easily.

Charged $5 a person including a 2 year old. Clerk was a d*ick. Very short and had attitude. The "tour" is just a bunch of old paintings with monsters and robots painted into them all behind curtain. Wouldnt go back in if they paid me. I hope this place goes out of buiness to make room for something worth your time.

Weird, in a good way, shop/museum. I ran into this place by accident and went in to get out of the cold. I didnt realize they had a small museum (I hope they expand as Id like to see more). I got some interesting and quirky pics. I really liked the 3D viewer of the Bigfoot in the ice cream shop!

Peculiar is definitely the word Id use to describe this place. From freaky edited pictures to candy bugs theyve got all the stuff to suit the name. I liked talking to the guy at the counter and looking at the interesting things on display. Fun place to check out/be creeped out.

Such an interesting, great place, and the people are super nice. We like going there so much we renewed our wedding vows there. The freeze dried scorpion and meal worms on our cake were a unique flavor. Thank you so much for making a great day AWESOME!!!

Not bad for $5. I think the website is cooler than the actual museum. Its like walking through a well lit Halloween house. Lots of Bigfoot art, cheesy gift store. Got a confession? Toss it in the box and grab your fortune on the way out..

Obviously this is no Ripleys; its a small mom and pop peculiarity museum. There are a lot of neat exhibits and historical pieces. The $5 walkthrough takes just a few minutes but still: neat eye candy and I love weird things.

I saw this in a newspaper article and checked it out. Overall its an interesting place to browse due to the oddities in the store. I didnt enjoy the bug ice cream though. This area doesnt have other attractions by it.

Dont listen to people that say its not worth the exchange rate of a $5 latte....I learned interesting facts, had a fun time looking at all the artwork and displays. Keep Portland Weird

It is small yes...but if you love the strange and unusual or the slightly odd then it is worth a visit..you can easily breeze thru in 30 min or spend an hour...very intertaning

Entertaining, mostly free and a neat spot if youre looking for the weird sides of Portland. Unimpressed with the big ice cream but it made for a fun dare on the cheap.

Please go here, please! You know that super hip person youre trying to impress by giving them an innocuous gift but normal stores dont cut it? This. Is. The. Place.

What a weird place. Its a small exhibit, but very much worth the $5. Dont take pictures of the cards. Just buy them and dont be a hoser... Like I was.

One of Portlands finest museums depicting the strange, weird and goofy. If you dont have a funny bone, dont go. Itll cost you $5 to get in.

Worth it to go! Great photo and talk pieces for a big group. We ate bugs for 10 cents too! Friendly customer service.

It was a decent stop, but it was a bit underwhelming considering the hype. It was a quick trip in the paid section.

small with a few nice props, but nothing really spectacular. I found it a little outdated and need a few repairs.

The prodigious creativity and art and craft on display may be slightly on the adolescent side, but so am I.
