We take our 2 dogs almost every day. I really enjoy that they have a winter dog park and summer. So we can go year round. Avoid the skate park area if you have a family with small children, people smoke a lot of pot there. I also really really wish they had a small dog section of the park. Theres totally enough room for it. The big dogs are way too rough with my 8lb pomchi. Its scary and should accept all dogs sizes. Other than that its amazing. GREAT forests to walk through that are normally kept super clean. Favorite park!

A great park to visit any time of the year. From the groomed fields to the natural wetlands habitat to the Southwest Community Center, its got something for everyone. Skateboarding, tennis, basketball courts, baseball and soccer fields are available, as is a paved trail that is handicap accessible. The off-leash dog park is a popular area for dog lovers. A picnic area under the trees and near the childrens playground is a great place for an impromptu picnic or a large group gathering.

We live fairly close to Gabriel park and it is a blessing. We mainly visit the park for the fenced in dog areas which both my daughter and beagle love. The summer area is one of the better parks we have been to and the winter area is awesome especially because of the canopy for us human folk when the rain is coming down. All In all this park has something for everyone tennis courts, dog parks, skate park, basket ball courts and as much grass as you could ever expect in a park.

I love this park! It is great for dog lovers. There are two seasonal off-leash dog parks; one for the winter months and one for the summer months. There are also hiking trails, a community garden, a community center, and tennis courts. They are building a skate park too!! People are generally friendly and it is very safe for a city park. I would not recommend going there late at night if you are by yourself. See you there.

Large friendly dog park . Lots of green grass and benches for people to sit at. You feel like you are in a park where dogs are safe and have freedom to play with all dogs. The winter area for dogs is at a 80° angle and ALL Sand . A small roof shelter to stand under . I see some folding chairs. The dog fince isnt made for small dogs at all. In fact I didnt feel welcomed at all . Strange place.

Im your Dam guide. Any question? Yes? Wheres the Dam bathrooms? Nice, roomy park with great off-leash area and skate park. I play tennis here. The lighted courts are nice, but sometimes crowded. Also, sometimes its hard to find a place to park. Use the restroom before you go because as far as I can tell there arent any here. Update: Added a portable by the tennis courts.

Always great, so many options. There are two seasonal dog parks, baseball fields, skate park, tennis courts, full range of indoor work-out opportunities, including a swimming pool. Outside areas also include a wooded, naturalized area to hike through. There is a playground, and a reserveable picnic area. City Parks do not come better than this outstanding site.

My 8 year old loves the skate park. This was his first time and the other kids and adults were friendly and offered him tips. The parents on the sidelines are friendly too. We also took our dog to the off lease dog park here. This was his first time too. He loved getting the other dogs to chase him. Dogs of all sizes. Friendly dogs and ripple companions.

Great park-big, with lots of different nooks-tennis courts, a skate park, ballfields, playgrounds, and a killer dog park. The summer dog park next to the tennis courts makes for entertaining games-the doggies on the other side of the fence chase after the ball, hoping you make a terrible shot and give them a new toy. Cute, but it almost feels mean.

A great dog park. This park is a good size to let the dogs run. The dog owners here appear more friendly and eager to strike up conversation than other dog parks. The rest of the park is bustling with activity. For those that want to get away from the hustle and bustle, there is also a nice, peaceful trail system in this park.

Not only does Gabriel Park provide lots of activities like the skate park, tennis and baseball fields but it is also very beautiful. We decided to do our annual family photo shoot here in the fall and the changing colors were an amazing backdrop. I highly recommend it for people of all ages at any time of the year

Two awesome dog parks, multiple tennis courts, one skate park, SWCC with indoor swimming pool, multiple soccer fields, two baseball fields, playground for little kids, 2-mile running loop, creek, beautiful woods, and wonderful meadows. This is an exceptional park and service provider to the public health.

Love this park! Theres something for everyone with a dog park, tennis courts, baseball fields, a playground, a skate park, a trail, and lots of open field space. The community center right next to the park also has an indoor swimming pool and other fitness amenities. Probably my favorite park in Portland!

Such a great park with countless amenities. There is many open spaces to hang out with friends and toss a Frisbee. There is a dog park, tennis, baseball, softball, soccer, too many amenities to count. It is just a great neighborhood park to bring the friends and have a little recreation.

I play tennis here and its nice for the most part. Helps that they have lights for play after dark. The off-leash dog area is cool for the dogs but often people dont have control of them and it gets a bit hairy (loud, aggressive barking and play). Courts get very busy in the summer.

LOVE this park! Perfect combo of open spaces and cozy shaded spots. Tennis courts, baseball diamonds, playgrounds, plenty of picnic table spots, skateboard park. The best part is the nature trail at one end. Its just magical... Total escape from the city. Great for running, too.

This may just be my favorite park in Portland. I especially love the woods in the south side of the park which is home to coyotes, owls, rabbits, and hundreds of squirrels. Though the dog parks can get crowded I can always come here to find some quiet time in the woods.
