The course was a little too laid back for my taste. I had a scheduled 7:35 am tee time for which I arrived ten minutes early to find the proshop locked and unattended. I was told by another golfer that they usually dont show up until 8 am and that I should just go and check in when i got off the course. I waited around till my tee time when an employee showed up and told me the same thing because she had to wait until the owner (who lived in a house next door) showed up to unlock the door. I would have just walked and started to play but my wife was going to join me for the round and just read a book in the cart. After finding out the total cost for the cart and my wife to come along would cost more than the round, we decided to just walk. I was then informed that they had to charge my wife a "liability" charge for just walking with me on the course. I have heard of a rider charge but never a liability charge. When we got out on the course, the grass was in decent condition except for a few greens that seemed to have a disease eating up all of the grass which made putting on dirt more desirable. My wife wanted to check out the mansion where they conduct weddings but apparently you cant do that either unless you are willing to fork out the dough for an event. Simply put, I will not be golfing here again.

They dont have clear indicators on the par three course. My issue with this place is the lack of accommodation. My wife and I tried to play here with our daughter and they said she was too little so she couldnt go on the course. I have never had that experience before. Many times we took our daughter on other area golf courses when she was 6 or 8 months old in a stroller. I think it is important to be family friendly. I wish I had a better experience to share.

I love this place. Laid back atmosphere as has been mentioned. Incredibly beautiful, especially in the fall. Im a bit of a duffer (usually shoot around 100) so its a challenging course for me, but still a lot of fun. Also, having the Par 3 course available gives you an extra option if you dont have a lot of time and its also a good opportunity to work on your short game.

A fun course, driving range, pro shop, small course (par 3), long course, lessons. A great family golf course for learners and even better for practice. large Bayou mansion, nice setting for weddings. To sum it all up, Fun.

Has potential but only 9 holes plus a short course. doesnt have underground water system so gets dry in summer. New owners are improving the course and with time and money could improve it. Plays tougher than it looks.

Good executive course with a nice par 3 and driving range. Normally you can get on without a tee time. The staff can take some getting used to.
