Ghost Creek at Pumpkin Ridge is a fabulous golf course with a great staff. The golf course is nearly always in excellent to outstanding shape, and the pro shop staff is very accommodating and helpful. I have been a Ghost Card holder for 20+ years and recommend this course without qualification. I am proud to call it my home course.. It provides a great "Member-for-a-Day" experience, and also does very well in providing a great tournament experience. I served as the chair for a golf tournament for 144 golfers, and the staff performed very well in every area. The course is a must for out-of-state visitors and is among the top courses in the state along with the Bandon Dunes properties and some of the Central Oregon resort course. The small café also provides great service and a surprisingly wide selection of great food. Ghost Creek at Pumpkin Ridge deserves to be on the regular play list for every Portland-area golfer.

Ive been playing Ghost Creek since it opened, though it has been since 2013 that I last played it. It is on my top 5 courses anywhere, yet my recent round left me with two lasting impressions: first, the greens are not getting the TLC they once did. We played late in the day and the greens were in bad need of moisture, as hundreds of footprint indentures were not bouncing back, making for lumpy, poor rolling greens. Secondly, the majority of the bunkers need sand added. Unfortunately I was in more of them than I would have preferred, and only the right pin-high bunker on 16 had enough sand to allow for the expected result. The rest are hard packed less than an inch from the top. It appears less and less money is going into the course than ever before. If this is true, Im sure others are noticing. If not, then maybe its just me. Thanks.

I was not quite as happy with the course as all the people here. I went to Oregon for the day, playing Langdon Farms as well as Pumpkin Ridge. I played Pumpkin Ridge second, thank goodness, cause if I would have payed the full price of 95.00 for the round I would have felt extremely ripped off. As it was I payed the twilight rate of 60 and still wasnt to happy about it (mostly because I only got to 12 holes, I started at 3:30 and I left for home around 7:30) The course did not appear to have been mowed in a few days, the greens were slow and not rolling the best, and pace of play was horrible. I was playing with one of the members there and he did say this was abnormal, but I was still disappointed.

Yesterday was my second time playing Pumpkin Ridge Ghost Creek. For a second time I was completely floored by the overall beauty and impeccable maintenance of the course. I still feel that this is the best course in the Portland metro area. The practice facilities are great, The course is immaculate without a blade of grass out of place, the greens are always true with very little to no ball bobble and the course in general is a very nice challenge. You cannot experience NW golf at its finest unless you have played Pumpkin Ridge. I look forward to having another round here.

February 23, Overcast conditions, Played Ghost, only half of the greens were mowed so varying speeds for that day. A course with this reputation should not be in this situation. I can understand why the fairways are not mowed, but the greens?? Also, it would be nice if there was some drinking water available on the course somewhere?? Only place would be the snack bar in the clubhouse. Again, this is not a good thing for a course of this reputation. both drinking fountains on the course are shut off.

Played 9/30/15. Fun course, but the conditions were subpar. I get that courses need aeration, sand, etc., but it was VERY dry, grass missing, and in general lacking the general maintenance youd expect in a course like this. This was my first (and likely only) time playing Ghost Creek, so maybe my expectations were higher than they shouldve been. That said, I kind of wish I wouldve saved myself $20-30 and played a course closer to home and in much better shape (e.g. Langdon Farms).

First time playing the course (Ghost Creek). Very much enjoyed the back nine, although I frankly thought the front nine wasnt super interesting (other than a few holes (6, 7 and 9). The greens werent in great shape even though the weather had been good for almost a week prior. They were very bumpy and extremely slow, especially for a course rated as highly as this one is. I will most likely play here again but I wont necessarily go out of my way to do so.

Golf course in Portland, OR. If you are looking for golf courses near Portland Oregon and want to play a unique and challenging course then you have to go to Pumpkin Ridge Golf Club. Rewards you for playing aggressively but gives you a safe way if you prefer. If you are looking for a great golf course in Portland then put Pumpkin Ridge on the trip. You will be glad you did. For under $100 to play a top 100 course I think it is a great value.

Beautiful course, in great shape but I would never buy anything in the pro shop. A complete rip off for anything in the pro shop. I found a pair of Oakley golf shorts that I really liked. The problem was the price...$75.00. I found the exact same pair at Dicks Sporting Goods for $42.00! That even beat the Pumpkin Ridge Member Price of $48.75. Still, a very nice course and Id play it again.

We attended a wedding at Pumpkin Ridge and loved it! I didnt play golf here but from a venue standpoint this place is amazing. The chef prepared mouthwatering meals, the staff was very helpful and attentive, and the scenery was wonderful. Im sure all of this comes at a premium but if youre looking for a classy venue Pumpkin Ridge should be high on your list.

I played a twilight round on Thursday July 3rd. and found the course to be in all-around excellent shape. If you decide to play Ghost Creek, bring your driver... there are several holes that have long, forced caries from the tee. If your not a bomber, play it forward! ;o) Have fun... I did! Note: The photos are from a round played in May.

Played first thing yesterday morning. Despite a small mixup about the availability of the range before our 6:30am tee time, the experience was great. The girl who checked us in, I believe her name is Dylan, was very helpful and pleasant despite having to start dealing with customers before 6am. Im looking forward to playing again soon.

Pumpkin Ridge Ghost Creek is the best public course in the Portland area. The rough is the most challenging, the greens are interesting and well kept, good variety of holes. Always fun to play, may not always score well but usually you are rewarded for good shots and penalized for bad ones. That is what golf is all about.

A perfect golf day. Weather great, first 80 degree day of the year, the course in great shape, and greens well groomed. Pin placement, tough, but challenging. Everybody I came in contact with went out of their way to be helpful and pleasant. Keep up the good work, Ill be out regularly with my pass.
