Fabulous collections of classic cars, airplanes, motorcycles, old radios, models, signs..... you name it its here! Plan to spend a while here its large and worth the $16.00 adult admission. No food allowed in the Museum but they have a cafe inside and some snacks in the lobby free coffee with donation. There is a gift shop and a Kids Learning Center. Two movie theaters and lots of videos playing throughout the museum!! Curators ride around on scooters asking you if you have any questions and are very helpful friendly and knowledgeable. Be sure to ask about their events on 4th of July and there fly in.... PS everything here runs and drives or flies!!!!!

We visited on May 2, 2013. This was not a planned stop but followed signs in town of Hood River because husband is pilot, car lover and we are "old folks". I was going to let him go in alone but he insisted I join him and we found this the very best museum on our 3 months trip. Judy Newman was wonderful and became an aviation friend. Sending her a CD entitled "Song Pilot" by Dwayne OBrien which I helped distribute. View out back of museum is of Mt. Hood and is breathtaking. Thanks for all the work this museum represents. Everyone can find something to enjoy inside.

My husband Jim and I discovered WAAAM on a rainy winter day, and we vowed to return for one of their "Second Saturdays" for a ride in an antique car or plane. We made good on our promise to ourselves Saturday, August 11. There were lots of helpful volunteers on hand. We took a spin in a 1931 Model A Ford, and I got to ride in the rumble seat. This is a great place with a lot of helpful people to tell you all about the many cars and airplanes on display there.

Ive lived in the area all my life. Ive heard how cool it was many times but had never visited this museum before. Today the wife and I decided to take a tour and I have to say, it is very cool. We spent about 3 hours there and probably would have stayed longer if it wouldnt have been so hot. Although at 102° outside, one should expect it to be a little warn inside. Should also point out that the volunteer staff were very friendly and informative.

What a Great Place !! My son and I roamed around for a couple hours and had a great time. So many wonderful vehicles. I love the way they are arranged by year and type. For instance, the have a car and a plane sitting next to each other because they both have the same type of engine.Very interesting. They have a very reasonable ticket price and helpful volunteers who like to answer your questions. Made me want to go back and work a weekend .

This museum is truly a gem. Excellent exhibits cover a wide range of aeroplane and automobile history. Volunteers seem to know everything about every exhibit on the floor. I was even surprised by their war history exhibit where they had several extremely rare WW2 weapons in what looked like fantastic condition. Take your kids to the play area! This may be the best part of the museum for those that bring their whole family along!

We came on Valentines with young kids. They loved looking at all the old planes, and the staff was really helpful and informative. Its a pretty huge space, and holds a lot of antiques. My kids favorite part is a play area set up in the back with planes, helicopters, cars, and submarines the kids can get in and play pretend it. Fun for kids who are just toddling around to seniors.

My husband and I loved our visit to the WAAAM Museum in Hood River, Oregon. We need to go back as the Museum has two buildings of exhibits and is too much to see in just one visit. We were told to go back on a second saturday and see the antique planes fly and get a ride in an antique automobile. My two grandaughters 5 and 11 loved the childrens educational play area!

Stuff is well maintained, not a very good place for kids unless they are really into old planes and cars or they will get bored after a few minutes. The staff constantly goes around asking if you have any questions wich can get anoyying they should really only be asking 1 or 2 times max

This is one of the finest auto and aero museums in the whole of the country. They offer model T driving school! They were buzzing around teaching people while we were touring the museum. It was great! They have a vast collection of mechanical oddities sure to satisfy any gearhead.

WAAAM has the coolest collection of antique cars and airplanes in the West! They always have cool new stuff every time I go and I love the fact that every item in their collection is either in running condition or undergoing restoration.

A lot of different airplanes than most places. They have a lot of vintage civilian aircraft. This is the place to go for pilots and civil aviation enthusiasts. The auto collection is growing at a steady pace.

Fun place. Enjoyed old aircraft, motorcycles, and automobiles in the museum. Drove to visit due to the "fly in" event where they actually fly old aircraft. Recommend the museum.
