I like this course a lot. The people working there are really friendly. The layout is really varied. The front 9 is really fun to play, even if you suck like I do. 2, 4, and 9 are my favorites. If you can hit from the blue tee on 16, do it. Clearing that lake from the tee back there has to be a great feeling. The only problem is that water doesnt drain from the course well after a rain storm. Some area will have standing water or will be soaked. Expect a number of balls to "plug" if youre playing after a heavy rainstorm. On weekends, it can get busy, so be prepared to give yourself some extra time if choose to go during prime hours. Its worth the wait, especially when the trees get their leaves back.

Played Hilliard lakes on Tue Nov 1, 2016 and it was soaked! It had rained two days prior to this but not that much. It was like playing in the everglades. I had at least three shots plug in mud on the fairway or right in front of a green. The greens were very slow. I could not force myself to hit the ball hard enough to get it to the hole. There were at least 3/4 cups full of water. Youd finish putting out and, guess what, free ball wash! Also noticed a couple bunkers full of water. Glad I didnt hit into them! Probably wouldnt go back unless I knew the greens were sped up and maybe play a little layer in the day to let things dry up.

We tried to schedule 4 groups for an outing (2 weeks ahead of time) and right after I booked the tee times the person on the phone told me "let me give you my speech. No drinking." I said "no drinking at all?" He then proceeded to tell me "you can have one each" with a tone I can not explain and then immediately hung up on me. I was in amazement of this rudeness and unfortunately called back and said we will not be attending that day and I personally will not be coming to your course anymore in the future. Customer service is key in my world and Hilliard Lakes showed one of the worst customer situations i have experienced.

An above average course that will challenge your game in more ways than one. Nice layout, personable staff @ reasonable prices...one suggestion would be more of a cut and distinct line from fairway to rough. Love the course, have been playing there for years & will continue.

Hilliard Lakes is a terrific 18 hole layout. Just enough water, bunkers and trees to keep things interesting...but fair. Hitting the ball straight is the key. The greens are true and well-kept. Excellent value AND the best golf course HOTDOGS around. GF...Westlake

One of the best courses in the area Ive played and the price is reasonable! Was sad they didnt take discover, and it kind of made for an interesting moment, but the greens are in good condition and so was the course! Amazing views!

I love the golfing experence..They are not there to sell houses. Just great golf. They way the game is ment to be played. Also freindly staff

Played 9 after work twice this year. Both times took 3 hours. Its too bad they dont care about pace of play, because its a good course.
