I booked a tee time here using Cleveland Golf 18 online, which I have never had an issue with before (you prepay and they book your tee time). When we showed up 30 min before our scheduled tee time, the man that was in the clubhouse was extremely rude and sarcastic in explaining that they didnt have a computer and that all tee times were done in the book and I should have called. Again, never had an issue with online booking before. After asking if the other two "schmucks" outside were my partners, he finally worked us onto the course, which seemed to irritate the apparent regulars (since there is no communication between the clubhouse and the starter). Worst customer service Ive ever had at a golf course, bar none. Keep it classy, Hickory Nut. My advice: dont waste your time. Go across the street to Royalcrest. Its a nicer course anyway.

We had a Memorial golf scramble planned at Hickory Nut for a deceased friend. Proceeds from this outing were to be donated to the hospice which cared for him the last few months of his life. 128 golfers turned out. We NEVER GOT TO PLAY ! The course booked a second outing on the same day at the same time and we never played and the owner Julie Osborne refused to refund our money until after she was threatened with legal action 2 weeks later. DO NOT BOOK THIS GOLF COURSE FOR AN OUTING. They double book repeatedly and then try to stiff you on the money you paid for the outing ! The staff at the course was rude to us even though THEY had made the mistake in double booking. Theyll never get another penny of my money ! Too many other quality courses in NE Ohio to choose from.

Played the back 9 on this course on 10-1-16 right after playing 18 right across the street earlier in the day. Course was wet as expected from all the recent rain. The fairways however were in poor shape due to bare spots from a dry summer. Greens were rough from being aerated. Staff was friendly.

Pretty poorly maintained course, but not too expensive for the quality. Staff are friendly and course is not too challenging.
