This course is well maintained and provides excellent value for your entertainment dollar but I give it three stars because I hate the design of two of the par 5s on the course. #2 is the first of the holes I actively dislike. If you hit any kind of draw off the tee or on your second youre dead because the whole fairway slants severely downward toward a pond that lines the entire left side of the fairway. If you can hit a purposeful fade and play to get on in three you can survive this hole without ruining your day right out the chute but if you do not know this "insider information" #2 will provide immediate frustration. The second hole I actively hate is #18. If you manage to get the bad aftertaste out of your mouth from the second hole, #18 is pretty much guaranteed to raise your blood pressure for the drive home. This finishing Par 5 looks harmless enough from the tee but its the second and third shots that will drive you crazy. The problem is the fairway narrows significantly and severely undulates so there is a very good chance that you may not be able to see the green when you hit your third (if you are lucky enough to FIND your second shot that is) and the green is long and narrow with a downhill slope that will draw you approach into the woods if you miss left and a severe slope on your right that creates an impossible chip if you leave your approach there. Its disappointing because I LOVE the over 16 holes on this course but #2 and #18 ruin the experience for me everytime I play here. Id play it alot more if they made #18 somewhat reasonable because #2 can be tamed with intelligent play and good ball striking. #18 is a different animal entirely. Either turn this hole into a Par 4 or flatten the undulations in the fairway that leads to blind third shots. Those changes would make this hole alot more playable and heighten the experience of playing this course immensely.

I played this course when in town on business. I walked after twilight, and it was by far the best $20 I ever spent on a round of golf. The course was in perfect shape. The fairways had that nice spongy, bouncy feel under your feet, and the greens rolled true and still a little quick even after the 15-minute torrential downpour that caught me on the 9th. Most of the holes on the course were open enough, meaning that there was generally an obvious "good miss". (The miss on 2 and 18 is to the right!) I played Windy Knoll the day before, and believe me, this course was a welcome change. It was manageable, and you could score low even with a few bad ones. Also, the guy in the pro shop was quite pleasant and helpful. Ill probably go again tomorrow!

Long time member, you can make this course as difficult as you want by playing any of the 4 tee boxes. For those who complain about #2 you need to try course management. From the white ts hit a 5 wood 185-210 yards hit a 9 iron 125-140 and sand wedge 90-120 and putt for birdie! If your in to risk rewards hit the driver and aim right hoping you come out in the fairway to get inside 200 yards for your second shot to the Par 5. Both ways are achievable, one is just smarter. The course is in great shape with a new irrigation system added over the winter, greens are in the best shape ever. New management is doing great job.

Nice course! Greens are in great shape and not covered in ball marks. Not a lot of bunkers or water other than #2. Relatively inexpensive. I agree completely with the earlier review about the par 5s (#2 and #18). 18 is especially frustrating with the SEVERE undulations (valleys) that really make it difficult. I still give this course 5 stars though.

Me and this course just dont agree. On hole #1 I hit the exact shot I wanted to hit and I am still looking for my ball. Course is in great shape and the clubhouse is very nice, this course is just not suited for my game. Course management is required for this course and I love to use my driver.

I have played Pipestone a few times. I love the course. It is well manicured, and I am impressed every time I go there.. Great fairways. Nice Tee Boxes. Great course. Play it whenever I feel like spending $50 to golf.

Course was extremely overbooked. Took 6 hours to play 18. Had to wait at nearly every hole. Beautiful and challenging course but the overbooking and long waits makes it so that I will never return. Very disappointed.

Very nice course. However, it took us 6 hours to play 18. It was completely overbooked and there was no rate of play enforced. We waited between 5-20 minutes on each hole. Will NOT play again.

The people I dealt with were very very nice to me. The course was well-groomed. I also like the way the course was laid out. I will be back for sure to play again.

Beautiful course, kept in great condition. Only issue is loys.of blind shots and 18 is a little funky, but other than that it is worth playing.

Decent course, but they want too much for what theyve got to pay full price. Plenty of discounts available though
