I belong to a Toledo mens coffee group. We all agreed to go to Firepit Grill on Airport Hwy Tuesday 8/22/2017. They positioned us on the patio, which was very nice that they made one large table. However the waiter that we were given was not a regular waiter. His normal duties were in the kitchen, and it was his first experience waiting tables....(i felt bad for him). Needless to say, no silverware was brought to our tables, so we took some from the tables on the inside of the restaurant. No menus were given to us so one of the guys grabbed 6 menus from the bar area. After waiting 30 minutes to order, finally orders were placed. After about 45 minutes the food started coming out....not once were we asked if our drinks needed to be refilled until guys started asking individually for refills.The whole table had empty glasses...When the food arrived my food was cold, mediocre in taste, but i didnt want to wreck the waiters evening, as it was not his fault to be placed over such a large group. In my opinion, the management should be reprimanded, if not fired....Our first impression of the place was definitely the worst...we will not be back...Not once did any of the other waiters come to his rescue, or ours. They just looked, smiled, nodded, and then looked the other way.....i give my waiter a 5 star for effort as he was very sweet, kind, and professional although improperly trained. The management i give 1 on a scale of 1-5 as they made table for us although never seeming to care what our first impression may be, and the other waiters i give a zero for working as a team and helping this poor man out. The food is a 2 at best.

Garbage. Got ribs, brisket and fries. They chose not to serve me those and instead served me some BLAND potato chips. The Brisket was closer in texture and taste to a thin beef jerkey than to any brisket Ive ever had. The Brisket is WORSE than the Brisket at Arbys... The sauce was not very good either, tasted like a sweetened ketchup. The ribs were not "Fall of the Bone" as the menu would have you believe, in fact I had to put a bit of strength into tearing them apart. Not only that but they were also very small, very dry and very very BLAND. Almost tasteless and legit garbage. The waitress took care of my fry problem for free so kudos to her but the Kitchen times were seriously screwed up (a half hour? Maybe more?) Shoot, the fries when I did get them took a few minutes so they mustve been waiting on what? The super dry meat? Did they microwave it?? The manager was even walking around to ask people if it was taking a while. Not to mention it took us almost 10 minutes just to be greeted (let alone seated). And the crowd was super preppy type for no reason at all. It was not good and this particular meal was $15 with small gross portions. This place has the image and/or appeal of some higher-tier barbecue joint but seriously... Go to Shortys. 2 stars only because the waitress got me the fries no hastle P.S. My girlfriend said I probably shouldnt post this review because its too mean or something but Im being honest

Very bad service. The place itself is very nice. I am not the type to complain but our server, I believe was Chris, should be fired or should find a new career path. I dont believe the manager had it together either. Lots of potential for the space but staffing needs addressed badly. Also the menu is basically frozen food from Sysco in my opinion. Not bad but not great. Hope they can work to turn it around because it would make a really nice place. Tip if you go there. If your waiter is being a complete [insert bad word] tell the manager to fire them. If the manager doesnt care, tell the manager to fire himself too. Its in the best interest of the investors of that place and crucial for it to survive.

Tried again! We try Firepit about every 6 months. As usual, the food was really good but the service is horrible. Couldnt get drunk there if you tried. Never asked us if we wanted refills for alcoholic drinks, soft drinks or water. I dine out frequently and keeping glasses full is very important to me. We had to ask for silverware. We had to ask for our bills. Several items we had to ask for twice. Ketchup for fries, salsa for tacos. A friend of mine was there at the same time with a different waitress and he said the same thing. I guess we will try again in December!

Ordered a prime rib (medium) and burger (well done). Both came out very rare. They forgot to cook us new food and the general manager (large sloppy looking man) refused to comp our bill fully. When I told him he would be losing a long time customer he got angry and told me to stop threatening him. He was also very afraid to come out of his office and speak with us, instead he kept sending other employees. He then yelled at our waitress who did nothing wrong. Very unprofessional. Sad.

I recommend Firepit Grille for catering your parties. We had a small party over the holiday weekend and we had smoked brisket, ribs, bbq chicken, chicken wings, salad with all the trimmings and dressings. Also some tastey mac and cheese topped off with a full cheese cake with a variety of flavors. The food was amazing, the service of them putting this together and get it ready for pick up on time was great. I will definately use this as my go to party catering from now on. Jody

I tried twice this place, just do be sure I dont stay on a first bad impression, but really dont like it. The outdoor patio is a nice feature but it does not compensate the below average food and the just average service. Last time I went the dinning room had a very strong bleach smell that was not appealing at all. I will not go back for sure. With some improvement in service and kitchen it could become a really nice option has the location and building are nice overall.

if you enjoy cold food and terrible service, this is the place for you. Our waiter acted like he didnt want to be there (I get it no one likes their job but suck it up) and took it out on us. Food was served very cold. This is not the first time weve been here and been treated in a similar manor. I was honestly looking for the hidden cameras because I thought I was on one of those prank TV shows. They dont deserve your business go somewhere else!!!

Burger had bits of other food I dont recognize, had the taste of them and I did not like it at all. I ordered a plain burger, and they put lettuce and other substances on, and then took it off. It makes me wonder if they had an order that was an accident, and then when my order came they just took things off of it and acted like it was mine. A shame that they didnt do better, I usually like them for their consistency of giving food as ordered.

The food was horrible and the service was just as bad. The bartender asked how it was and I told her the food is really bad and service is very slow. She said Ill send the manager, rolled her eyes and walked away manager never came which is perfect cause I really dont want to see the mgr, Ill just never ever go back there..At least have 1 good thing, Manager, service or food, give me something..Here there was nothing good but the decor.
